We realize that times are very tough for many of us, but most of us should realize that as difficult as things may be, they are even worse for countless numbers of our fellow citizens for whom the merriment and joy of the Chanukah and Christmas seasons are hollow and empty.
There are countless opportunities to assist those in need, ranging from the Toys for Tots program to food pantries to the bell ringing Salvation Army Santas.
Every little bit we can do will make a big difference for those who are less fortunate this holiday season. And the one thing we can assure all of our readers is that giving is always much better than receiving.
We wish all of our readers a happy and safe 2011 holiday season.
