Holten Brandi

Owner of Holten Brandi Foods, Creative Chef and Educator

Holten Brandi of No. Reading, formerly of West Peabody, died on December 20.

A Creative Chef, he was the owner of Holten Brandi Foods, Inc., a Catering Service, for the past 36 years. He was a graduate of Cornell University and taught food chemistry courses there as well as gourmet and food preparation classes at Essex Agricultural School.

The adoring companion of Diane Riddell of No. Reading, he was the loving father and father-in-law of Stephen Brandi and Suzanne and Joseph Reed, all of Peabody, and Elisa Brandi of Winthrop; brother of John Brandi of St. John VI, and Susan and her husband, Bart Labowitz of Florida; cherished grandfather of Nicholas Brandi-Miller and Olivia Brandi Miller of Winthrop and Cyan and Temperance Reed of Peabody and husband of the late Judith Anne (Shick) Brandi.

A Visitation will be held today, Thursday, December 22, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home at the 82 Lynn St., Peabody facility. Florence Gladstone

Retired salesperson

Florence (Katz) Gladstone of Revere died on December 15.

Born in Winthrop, she was raised in Revere, attended the Revere School System and was a graduate of Revere High School. She was a salesperson in the shoe industry working at the Logan Airport gift shop and various other shoe stores. She was a long time resident of the Jack Satter House in Revere.

The beloved wife of the late Victor Gladstone, she was the loving mother of Gary Gladstone and his wife. Irene and the late Fred Gladstone; the dear sister of George Katz, Saul Katz and his wife June, Frank Katz and the late Joseph Katz and Sylvia Shaffer and the loving grandmother of Andrew, Erika, David and Sara.

Susan Barbo

Winthrop resident

Susan M. (Mazzone) Barbo of Winthrop, formerly of Stoneham, died at home on December 17.  She was 92 years old.

Born in Everett and a long time resident of Stoneham until moving to Winthrop several years ago, she was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Barbo, the dear and devoted mother of Mary-Anne Collins of Winthrop and Susan M. DeAngelis and her husband, Francis of Reading; sister of Madeline Mottola of Stoneham, Edith DiCicco of N. Andover, Lucy Finos of Wakefield, Mary Starble of Bradford and the late Christine Tavano, Marino and Alphonse Mazzone; loving Nana of Kristen Collins, Christopher DeAngelis, Kathleen Evangelista and Lori DeAngelis and loving  Great-Nana of Luke, Noah, Nate and Naomi Evangelista.

Rosalie Blanche Anjoorian

Picture framing and art industry entrepreneur

Rosalie Blanche (Scifo) Anjoorian of Saugus, formerly of Winthrop, died in Boston on December 11 after a brief illness.

An entrepreneur in the Picture Framing and Art industry for many years, she was the wife of the late Edward Paul Anjoorian, Jr.; devoted mother of Ara Anjoorian of Saugus; niece of the late Antoinette Dileo of Bronx, NY and is also survived by many loving cousins and friends.

Angelo Vigliotta 

Winthrop School Department Retiree, former “Bayside” Bartender 

Angelo M. Vigliotta of Saugus, formerly of Revere and Winthrop, died on December 14 following a long illness.

A US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, he was a member of the Revere VFW Mottollo Post 4524, a Winthrop School Department retiree and a former bartender for “Bayside” Restaurant of Revere for over 20 years.

He was the beloved husband of 53 years of Elaine M. (Stevens); devoted father of Robert M. Vigliotta of Bedford and Michael A. Vigliotta and his wife, Stephanie of Plaistow, NH; cherished grandfather of Anthony R., Shayna L. and Shantel J. Vigliotta, all of Billerica and Brooke N. and Shelby M. Vigliotta, both of Plaistow, NH; dear brother of Jerry Vigliotta and his wife, Mary of Groveland. He is also lovingly survived by his former daughter-in-law, Lisa Angelina of Billerica and many nieces and nephews.

Catherine Pulicari 

East Boston resident

Catherine “Katie” (Spaziani) Pulicari of East Boston died on December 16.

She was the beloved wife of the late Rino; devoted mother of Ronald, Sr., Perry and Paul Pulicari; dear sister of Rose, Mafalda “Muffy”, Salvatore “Sonny” and Joseph as well five late sisters. She was the cherished grandmother of Ronald Jr., Terez, Paul Jr., Michael, Peter and Jack and is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Susan Peabody 

Winthrop resident

Susan M. Peabody of Winthrop, formerly of Wilmington, died unexpectedly on December 15. She was 55 years old.

She was the beloved daughter of Margaret (Keane) Peabody of Wilmington and the late Lester Peabody, Jr.; dear sister of Lester Peabody and his wife, Trish, Mark Peabody and his wife, Nancy, and Chris Peabody and his wife, Ellie, all of Londonderry, NH, Betsy Peabody and her partner, Dianne Harhigh of Concord, NH, and Keith Peabody of Wilmington; loving aunt of Lester, Samantha, Caitlin, Michael, Meredith, Nathan, Jonathan, Jacqueline, and Julia. She was devoted to Daniela DeSantis (for whom Susan was like a mother) and her fiancé, Dharmesh Joshi, and Federico DeSantis, all of Winthrop. She is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
