Monday, Dec. 13
0842: A caller reported that her father struck a dog that may have run out into the roadway at Governor’s Park. The officer who responded reported that the dog had passed away. The officer filed a report.
1448: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Walden and Main Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a failure to yield. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1550: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Shirley and Cross Sts. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1753: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Pleasant St. and Pleasant Ct. for the civil moving infraction of speeding (40 m.p.h. in a 25 zone). The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1812: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Shirley and Revere Sts. for the civil moving infractions of a red light violation and improper display of a registration plate. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1741: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1747: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Pauline St. for the civil moving infractions of a crosswalk violation and a failure to stop for a traffic control sign. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1805: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Crest Ave. for the civil moving infraction of a failure to stop for a traffic control sign. The officer issued a citation to the operator.

1946: An officer dispersed a person in a motor vehicle from Hannaford Park, which is closed after dark.
Wednesday, Dec. 15
0958: DPW workers in the town cemetery at River Rd. and Buchanan St. reported that they had found four hypodermic syringes. An officer came by to bring the needles back to the station for proper disposal.
1133: A Lorean Terrace resident reported that a registration plate had been stolen from his motor vehicle overnight.
1203: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Pauline St. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1225: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Main St. at Amelia Ave. for the civil moving infraction of operating an unregistered motor vehicle. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator, who was able to renew the registration on-line.
1255: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Pleasant St. and Court Rd. for the civil moving infractions of speeding, a missing front plate, and an expired registration sticker. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1314: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Hermon Sts. for the civil moving infraction of having an illegible plate. The operator was unaware that a piece of his trunk was covering the plate. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator, who was going to take care of the problem forthwith.
1326: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Winthrop and Main Sts. The officer arrested Trevor J. Fannin, 32, of 213 Shirley St., for the criminal offenses of attaching plates, operating an uninsured MV, and operating an MV with a revoked license. The officer also cited him for the civil infraction of operating an unregistered MV. The MV was towed.
1401: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Beal Sts. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1558: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for a civil moving infraction. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1631: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1649: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Hermon and Atlantic Sts. for littering. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator, who was told that it is a criminal offense to litter.
1753: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Winthrop and Atlantic Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a red light violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1823: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Pleasant St. for the civil moving infraction of a marked lanes violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
1953: Officers dispersed a person who allegedly was harassing customers and store clerks at businesses in the 400 block of Shirley St. The officers informed him that he no longer was allowed in those stores.
2014: An officer stopped a motor vehicle on Temple Ave and gave a verbal warning to the operator regarding the need to update his information with the Registry of Motor Vehicles.
2042: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of an equipment violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
2052: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Revere St. for the civil moving infraction of a headlight violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.

0022: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Pleasant St. and Cottage Park Rd. for the civil moving infraction of a lights violation. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
0037: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main St. and Amelia Ave. for the civil moving infraction of a headlight violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
0041: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Pleasant Sts. for the civil moving infraction of speeding. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
0925: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Sunset Rd. and Main St. and arrested the operator, Manfen Lemus Pineda, 24, of Dorchester, on an outstanding warrant and for the criminal offense of operating an MV with a suspended license. He also was cited for the civil infraction of operating an unregistered MV. The MV was towed.
1144: A Seal Harbor Rd. resident who reported an injured seagull was informed to call the wildlife center.
1238: An officer restored the peace at a business on Woodside Ave. involving an argument between a customer and employees of the business.
1517: Officer Carter assisted a family with the installation of a child safety seat on Beach Rd.
1622: State Police officers informed the Winthrop P.D. that they would be performing liquor law enforcement at seven local establishments.
1642: An officer responded to a report of a dog that was tied up outside for a number of hours on Floyd St. The officer spoke to the owner and will inform the owner of the tethering law.
1646: A resident came to the station with her son to report that he had been assaulted on Revere St. The officer filed a report.
1751: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Cross Sts. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1807: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Veterans Rd. for the civil moving infraction of a stop sign violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1836: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Shirley and Crescent Sts. for the civil moving infractions of a stop sign violation and excessive window tint. The officer issued a written warning to the operator. As the officer was walking back toward his vehicle after issuing the citation, the operator then sped off in what the officer described as “an aggressive manner,†for which the officer will be mailing another citation to the operator.

1757: An officer responded to a motor vehicle accident on Bartlett Rd. in which a vehicle had backed up into another vehicle, causing minor damage with no injuries. The officer filed a report.
1818: A Shirley St. resident reported that her cat had run out the front door.
Saturday, Dec. 18
0050: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Revere St. and Sagamore Ave. for the civil moving infraction of failing to stop for a traffic control sign. The officer issued a citation to the operator.
0142: An officer issued a parking ticket to a vehicle without a resident parking sticker at Quincy and Temple Aves.
1217: A resident came into the station to report that his credit card had been used fraudulently to make a charge of almost $150.
1220: A local convenience store owner showed an officer video footage of a customer coming into the store at night and stealing cigarettes from behind the counter. The officer filed a report.
1526: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Prospect Ave. for the civil moving infraction of a one-way violation. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
2109: A business owner came into the station to report that the motor vehicle of one of his food delivery drivers had been stolen at Governor’s Park. The officer filed a report.
Sunday, Dec. 19
0112: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) at Main and Banks Sts. for the civil moving infraction of making an improper turn at Magee’s Corner. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
0119: An officer issued parking tickets to eight vehicles without resident parking stickers on Shirley St.
1209: An officer stopped a motor vehicle (MV) on Winthrop St. for the civil moving infractions speeding and improper passing. The officer gave a verbal warning to the operator.
1430: An officer responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at Highland and Grovers Aves. There were no injuries, but both vehicles were towed. The officer filed a report.
1801: An officer gave a warning to three 12-14 year-old boys who were playing “ring-and-run†in the area of Lancaster Ave.
