We understand that Speaker Robert A. DeLeo will be making a special appearance at the Parks and Recreation youth basketball clinic Saturday at the Arthur T. Cummings School to make a donation to the program. Speaker DeLeo has been such a valuable supporter of all athletics teams and organizations in the town. He has spoken loudly not only with his generosity, but also with his attendance at WHS games. From the annual dinners he hosts for the football team to his days as a coach in the Winthrop Little League, Bob has been our own MVP when it comes to all town sports.
We know we join with Parks and Recreation director Sean Driscoll in thanking Speaker DeLeo for this fine donation to the hoop program.
