Friday, October 23

Lifeline called from Walden Street stating a 98-year-old woman is requesting police as her caregiver is outside her apartment seeking entrance but she has a stranger with her and the woman is nervous. Officer reports that the stranger with her caregiver was a new visiting nurse. All parties satisfied with our response.

Caller from Cliff Avenue reports a drunk male party stumbling into motor vehicles. Officers located the party known to us. 91 will give a courtesy ride to Orient Heights.

Saturday, October 24

Caller on Shirley Street requests an ambulance for his wife due to stomach pain.

Probation warrant faxed over from the Electronic Monitoring Program. GPS had last known address on Pleasant Street. Officer will check the area. Area search negative. Information will be forwarded to the day shift.

Party on Circuit Road reports Halloween decorations missing from his porch.

Female caller requesting medical for her father who lives in Winthrop on Court Road, Call transferred to EMS/WFD.

Landlord on Main Street called regarding access to her tenant’s apartment tomorrow. The caller claims it was set up during the week and now the female screamed at her and said she can not come in tomorrow.

Calling party from Hillside Avenue states one of the above ground water pipes are leaking. DPW notified and said it was normal.

Party reports that someone called him reporting they had his sister-in-law and to send money. The reporter checked and his relative is fine.

Party called and wants to report a road rage incident that just too place at the Winthrop Lodge of Elks. Sergeant reports speaking with the caller who was upset. The registration of the other motorist was given to the sergeant and they went by the address to follow up on it. A phone message was left for the motor vehicle owner. The vehicle was not in the neighborhood when they checked the area.

Caller on Court Road reports he an not get into his driveway because it has been blocked for a few hours now.

Party on Washington Avenue reports a person in his building seems very confused and at one point she was on the floor on the hallway. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Fire requests an offer at medical aid on Washington avenue. A female was transported.

Party at Nick’s Place requests EMS for a party that fell down and has a laceration. WFD and EMS notified.

Sunday, October 25

Report of a female roaming around the Dean Avenue area. Officer report speaking with her and she was out walking with her two cats. The party then headed home after speaking with the officers.

Caller on Lincoln Street reports a blocked driveway. Unit dispatched and reports complete blocked driveway. The vehicle was towed by G&J. A second vehicle was placed on the 72 hour list. Both vehicles are active and registered out of PA.

Party on Franklin Street located items in his recovered stolen vehicle. They were turned over to the police.

Caller on Sewall Avenue requesting medical as she is not feeling well. Transferred to WMS.

Landlord on Main Street requesting an officer stand by while she shows the apartment. he states that arrangements were made with the tenant. This is an ongoing civil matter. The officer will stand by for a few minutes.

Party reports losing his wallet on October 24 at JW’s Restaurant. The wallet is black with cheetah spots on it. It contained $150, debit cards and social security card.

Party came into the lobby to report damage done to personal property, larceny of an additional item and threats. W92 took the report in the lobby and performed a followup at the residence of the suspect and reports nobody home at this time.

Caller on Main Street reports that a poodle type dog escaped from her yard. She has been all over the neighborhood searching to no avail.

Party from the extension of Hagman Road reports observing a syringe on the cement walkway. W94 reports floating it and safely placing it in the Sharps container.

Caller states that her agency reported a life alert activation on one of her patients at Viking Gardens. She was in the area and responded to find no response at the door and no lights on in the apartment. When WFD was called, they confirmed that the alert went directly to them and the patient was transported to the Whidden. Message was related to the caller.

 

Monday, October 26

Fire Department called to report that the Defilece Company has equipment all over Shirley Street blocking the firehouse. Officer had the equipment moved to open up the firehouse.

Party on Court Road called to report that someone was up a pole and their truck is blocking the street. Officer reports that the area is clear.

Caller on Neptune Avenue reports there is a moving truck blocking the street and cars are backing down. Officer reports they have the last piece of furniture on and they are leaving.

Party on Centre Street reports there is a white male with a black leather jacket on going door to door with a cup. Officer reports a worker for Anderson Construction going around with flyers.

Report that the lights are not working properly at Main and Pleasant Street. DPW notified.

Safety Officer reports a motor vehicle is parked in the construction site on Shore Drive and the crew needs to work where it is parked. G&J notified.

Officer will try to serve a Lowell court summons to subject on River Road. He reports that no one is at home.

Party on River Road reports she can hear an alarm. Officer reports it was a fire alarm and the building was checked out and all is ok.

Report that a Paul Revere bus is broken down at Revere and Golden Drive. It is leaking a large amount of oil and other fluid. Fire notified.

Concierge at Seal Harbor reports there is a male with long blond hair walking in the parking lots looking in cars. Officers report checking both lots and the surrounding area to no avail.

Lieutenant reports two suspicious individuals on Main Street and requested detectives observe them and make a check if needed. W98 has requested a marked unit to assist in checking them out. They report he check out and sent on his way.

Caller reports driving and almost hitting a black bulldog with a white belly at the top of Shore Drive. ACO notified and will respond.

Tuesday, October 27

DPW called to ask if we can move two vehicles at Massa Playground and Hillside Avenue. Officer reports vehicles are being moved.

Caller on Wilshire Street complaining about a taxi cab driver and driving infractions with her children inside. Taxi company contact and disputed party’s story. Caller was advised to buckle children in herself, to contact the school department and to call us immediately should this re-occur.

Officer will again try to serve subject on River Road a summons issued by Lowell Court. He reports again, no one is home.

Lifeline alert by 82-year-old female who needs assistance on Overlook Drive.

Report of a hit and run on Argyle Street.

Party at Moore and Shore Drive complains of motor vehicle blocking a driveway. G&J will remove. The owner showed up and a ticket was issued.

No water during construction on Beacon Street. DPW notified.

Caller at the public landing reports a small vehicle with four youths in it are driving around with some of them holding on to the hood of the vehicle. Units report speaking to a group that denies any involvement.

W91 reports having motor vehicle pulled over for speeding on Revere Street. Unit reports a citation was issued.

Caller on Shore Drive reports a woman is screaming from an apartment. Units report female stated she was arguing on the phone. Units checked the apartment and female was alone. She was disturbed that someone would call the police and she was advised of her rights.

Caller on Beacon Street reports coming home and having no water in her home. DPW notified and will respond.

 

Wednesday, October 28

Reports of no water on Beacon Street. DPW notified and will handle.

W91 reports stopping motor vehicle at Atlantis Marina condos. K9 assisted and a citation was issued.

Call of a male having a seizure on Hermon Street. EMS notified.

Officer will again try to serve a summons issued by Lowell Court to subject on River Road. Again, he reports that no one is home.

ACO responding to Hermon Street for a report of a deceased skunk that is on the sidewalk.

Caller on Tewksbury Street called to report that she locked her child in the car and dropped the keys. Fire notified.

Safety Officer reports down the street from her assignment, on Crystal Cove Avenue, there is a truck unloading and blocking the street. Officer reports the truck has been moved.

Caller at Governors Park reports that sometime overnight someone broke the rear window of his motor vehicle.

Export Enterprises came in with a tow slip for vehicle that is a trespass vehicle at Executive Apartments. Owner has the tow company information.

Caller at Main and Pleasant Street reports that the traffic light is malfunctioning. DPW notified. They called back to report that the issue is due to a power surge and National Grid has been notified.

A cell phone has been turned into the school officer. No student or staff has claimed it. Cell phone was found on Friday. SRO is bringing it to the station.

Walk-in to request we help him get his property back from an eviction on Revere Street. We contacted the property owner and were advised everything is being handled by the lawyers and courts. Reporting party was advised to go the East Boston Court.

Fire Department called to report that they are going to Crystal Cove Avenue on a gas leak. Officer reports fire is clear.

Medical call at Governors Park. Drop call from Essex Dispatch. Fire and EMD notified.

Again, no water reported on Beacon Street. DPW notified.

Caller on Woodside Avenue reports the upstairs teens are very loud with music and noise. Officer reports that children and home and fine. They are playing in their house. No loud noise or music.

Caller on Crystal Cove Avenue reports she has no water. DPW notified.

Another all from Crystal Cove Avenue to report having no water. DPW notified.

Reports of kids fighting on Winthrop Street. 92 McCarthy and 91 Ramadani report speaking with the caller and victim. An incident report will be filed.

Staff member at the group home on Pleasant Street has difficulty breathing. Transferred to WFD and they will handle.

Caller at Suds N Surf Laundromat reports several incidents occurring involving different customers inside his shop.

Party on Faun Bar Avenue reports a white male in a red and black sweater wanted to enter his home with a package. Officers report that no one is around and spoke with the caller.

Party on Johnson Avenue reports someone moved a brick from her yard that kept a gate closed, opened to enter her yard and put the brick back. She is afraid that he may still be in her yard. Units report checking out entire area and not finding anyone in the area.

Neighbor requests we check on an elderly female on Shirley Street as an alarm went off this morning. Officer reports that all is ok.

Thursday, October 29

91 reports being off with above motor vehicle at the 7-11 for a handicap parking violation. Citation was issued.

92 reports speaking to a couple on Johnson Avenue who have been seen multiple times walking their cat all over town.The couple stated they were going home for the night.

Report of alarm activation at the Quick Foodmart on Shirley Street. Someone called back to cancel as units arrived on the scene.

Party on Sea View Avenue reports there is an Oregon plate that has been parked there for days. Officer reports no out of state plates on the street.

Landlord on Main Street called to report a problem with a tenant upstairs. Officer reports same type of call as before. Landlord saying the tenant said or did something and the tenant is saying the same thing. It appears that the landlord is evicting them and overtime they see each other, one or both of them say something. It is a civil eviction.

Safety Officer reports the tree on the corner of Read and Morton Street is hollowed out and needs to be looked at. DPW will check it out.

Nurse called from Golden Drive. Someone is on the floor and needs help. EMS was notified.

Caller on Sturgis Street reports that the road is nearly unappeasable due to over a foot of water in the street DPW notified.

Call from party at the Arbor to report that her father needs an ambulance. EMS notified.

Caller on Shore Drive requests that the police check on the well being of his friend. He is concerned because he has not heard from the friend. Officer responded to the address and the person is fine. He will be in touch with his concerned friend.

Detectives report having a motor vehicle stopped on Main Street. 91 and 92 on the scene to assist.

Officer reported earlier that a construction company was working on Pleasant Street and was blocking one entire lane. The officer had the vehicle removed from the roadway and placed on private property.

Party on Main Street called and complained of a 2nd floor tenant making lots of noise. 91 sent and told to park away and walk into the side door of the first floor to listen for noises. He spent almost 10 minutes there and did not hear a sound. Call was unfounded. A while later, the caller (landlord) came in and she was informed that this is a civil matter involving an eviction and not to use the police for this issue. She was asked if we could speak to her attorney to explain the multiple unfounded calls she has called in. She was advised to call 911 for a true emergency, not matters of her dealing with a soon-to-be-evicted tenant. She asked about getting a harassment order and that she has called the police three times. She was then informed that the calls were not verified as confirmed and that in order to get the order, she would have to have some evidence that these claims have in fact occurred. She will seek legal advice.

Three warrants for subject on Irwin Street. Officers report that no one is home at this time.

Party reports that kids are playing basketball on Walden Street two hours after the lights are shut off. Officer spoke to the players and had them leave for the evening.

Handicap spot violation on Cutler Street. The vehicle was moved.

Caller on Cutler Street complaining of a loud party. 91 and 94 had music and party turned down with a warning.

Friday, October 30

Motorist stopped for violation on Revere Street. Officer reports a citation was issued.

A motorist was stopped at Yirrell Beach for a violation. Officer reports subject cited for violations. The party then became argumentative and officer requested another unit. The subject as placed under arrest for disorderly conduct.

Caller on Myrtle Avenue reports a disturbance. Male party known to us is screaming at a female. Officer spoke to both parties and they went into the house for the evening.

Party reported being locked inside the ATM enclosure at Bank of America. Officer responded and got the party out. A call was made to the security company and they will respond. The officer will put a sign on the door.

A business owner called regarding a group that has set up a table in Winthrop Center soliciting funds.

Caller on Shore Drive reports that his neighbor is having work done on his property without the proper permits. Town Hall and inspection services are closed today. The caller was advised to contact the building department on Monday. Officer will go by and check with the contractor to ascertain if there are permits issued. No permits displayed and party was told to cease pending the issuance of any permits for work.

Caller on Hermon Street reports that there are cars obstructing the corner. W91 responded and had them moved.

School resource officer requesting medical to nurse officer at the high school for possible seizure. WFD/EMS notified.

Bank manager at Credit Union on Woodside Avenue requesting to speak to an officer regarding a customer. W92 responded and reports the calls were from a Boston resident and were made to a branch out of our jurisdiction. Manager was advised by officer who also spoke to the corporate office.

Several calls and hangups from Wadsworth Street. Report of a motor vehicle roll over there All units responded to assist with traffic and information. Fire notified. A transport to MGH and three vehicles were towed.

W92 responded to assist 902 in delivering a citation to Governors Park for a stop sign violation earlier.

Officer reports following a motor vehicle who violated several laws at Pauline and Woodside Avenue.He is now off with the vehicle behind the CVS with the assistance of another officer. He issued a ticket and will contact the RMV for an immediate threat suspension.

Caller reports a barrel fire at the courts on Walden Street. WFD notified and will respond.

Party on Enfield Road requesting an ambulance to go to the hospital. Transferred to EMS.

Caller reports a group of teens playing football in the intersection of Circuit and Maple Road. They are being rowdy. Officer spoke with the teens who will go inside.

Officer checked three individuals who were dating suspicious on Shirley Street. All three were sent out of the area after questioning.

Party reports a group of teens shouting and swearing all night long at the gazebo at Ingleside Park. Officer reports the area is now devoid of teens.

Motorist was stopped at Edgehill and Pleasant Street for violation. Officer reports her license is expired. She has contacted a friend around the corner who is licensed and will operate her vehicle. Traffic citation was issued to the operator.

Saturday, October 31

Party on Willow Avenue reports the their floor tenants have a loud party going on. She spoke to them but the noise continues. Officers report speaking with the tenant who will keep the noise down. There is no party going on just loud conversation.

Party reports someone is playing music outside the house at Locust and Cross Street. Officer reports the area is completely quiet.

Reports that Beacon Street is in dangerous condition due to the construction. The caller is concerned regarding cars and people traversing after dark. DPW notified and will contact the contractor to try to mark the problems. The caller was notified.

Caller on Trident Avenue reports a neighbor cutting tree next to him, but also cutting limbs from his tree on his property. He is requesting an officer as the other party was being unreasonable with him. Officer dispatched to keep the peace. All parties were advised by the officer and the tree service vehicle moved off the public roadway.

Report of an aggressive dog running around at Cellucci Field. ACO notified and will respond.

Detail Officer met with 209 plaintiff to keep the peace while property was picked up on Shore Drive.

Caller on Locust Street reports finding shotgun shells behind his shed out back. Officer secured them and will submit a report.

Party reports an ongoing problem with kids in the housing area on Douglas Street. They are running through yard and she reports six youths playing hockey in her driveway. Youths have dispersed and the caller was advised to contact housing as they are and have in the past addressed this same issue.

Reports of the pole creaking again and metal is falling off the pole on Coral Avenue. Fire notified. They report contacting Verizon again.

Party called to report receiving a call from someone who identified themselves as being from AOL who happens to be her e-mail provider. The caller reported to her that e-mails from her account are going out all over the country requesting money be sent to a post office box in Winthrop. The caller will try to follow up with AOL.

Caller on Coral Avenue reports a pole is about to come down. A truck was in the wires. Fire notified and W92 responded to assist with the traffic. Fire notified Verizon.

Report of very low water pressure on Beacon Street. DPW notified and will send someone out.

Party called to report being threatened by someone and needing an escort to pick up her belongings on Walden Street. Boston operations notified over Baypern Central.

Several calls of kids behind the old Winthrop Playmakers building, possibly drinking and throwing rocks at cars. Officers report no alcohol or rocks. A group of known individuals from East Boston and they were sent back home.

Caller on Somerset Avenue reports person or persons unknown damaged the hood of her motor vehicle. Officer confirmed the damage and will submit a report.

WFD reports a rear porch fire on Court Road. Officers responding to assist. The fire was extinguished.

Caller on Walden Street reports people are in the apartment and no one should be there. The renter has passed away ands roommate is in jail. Officers report speaking with three individuals who were involved with the previous call to this location. Their keys to the apartment were confiscated and they were given a no trespass order. The parties then left.

A transfer from Boston and the caller hung up. The dispatcher reports an excited female reports a green Toyota hit someone at Bellevue and Johnson Avenue and then spun them around. W93 reports a green SUV went up the street with no plate. The victim is declining any medical assistance. Officers are checking the surrounding area for the vehicle.

Father on Woodside Avenue reports that his 14-year-old has been drinking and is sick. Transferred to EMS and W92 will respond. The resident there found the 14-year-old outside The father was contacted and the child was transported.

Neighbor on Bowdoin Street called to report a party going on and she does not believe the parents are home. There is no car in the driveway. The caller reports young people outside as well and someone is crying. Officers report no one outside and the partiers left prior to their arrival.

Caller on Belcher Street reports a group that just went by and egged his windows. His neighbor said they took off toward the basketball courts. Officers located a group and sent them on their way. Two back to East Boston and two home in town. The two were already spoken to on an earlier call.

Officers observed a motor vehicle parked on Court Road with the door open and the front door of the house was open as well. Officers spoke with the party who stated she was just moving some items into the house.

Party reports two teens messing with the construction equipment near Massa Playground. Officer reports four individuals were sent home. No damage observed by the officers.

Caller on River Road reports items were thrown at her motor vehicle and she is afraid that someone may still be there. Officer reports motor vehicle had damage and he will file a report.

Reports that two males and a female just damaged the mirror to a car on River Road. They were seen running off toward the Elks.

Officer followed a Viking Taxi to Grovers Avenue to make sure someone is home to care for her. She appears to be 18 years of age.

Party on Shirley Street reports a woman just came to her front door screaming about lights bothering her. Officers responded and report speaking with the woman who closed her shades and solved the problem.

Sunday, November 1

Party on George Street reports an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend. Mother would like them both out of the home. Officers report the parties will be leaving of the night.

Caller requested an officer respond for a male creating a disturbance in the taxi stand on Revere Street. The party was a coworker and the officer asked him to leave. The argument was over $6 owed.

Brother came to the station with his sister to make a report of being a victim of an assault and battery that happened late last week at the 7-11.

Reports of fire alarms going off on Quincy Avenue. No smoke reported. Transferred to WFD.

Officers respond to home of clerk involved in an incident report of earlier call at Governors Park. Party was unavailable.

Caller on Court Road states that his wife found a dog and brought it back to the house. The owner later called and both parties were able to connect with each other to get the dog to its owner.

Report of a motor vehicle all smashed up and leaking fluids for several weeks on Sewall Avenue. Officer reports it is a hazard to the public with metal all exposed. Fire was notified to check for fluids. G&J requested to remove the vehicle due to hazard on the street to the public. Unable to locate the owner as officer went to the door several teams and could not raise anyone. G&J will tow.

Party at Governors Park called to report being threatened by a neighbor. W91 spoke to the caller and was unable to locate the party making the threats. The caller came to the station to complete the paperwork. On-call judge issued an ERO which is alive until 9 a.m. tomorrow. Units will attempt to make service to the defendant.

Party reports road rage incident at Revere and Main Street, but they appeared to have left. Next two males and a child appear in the lobby. It is a continuation of the road rage officers spoke to the parties and advised them of their rights. It was settled for now.

Two abandoned 911 calls from Locust Street. Call back was difficult to understand. The caller was reporting that someone bought a young child to her home thinking it was her child. Then others showed up to retrieve the child, approximately two years of age, stating that it was their child. Officer reports speaking with all parties and the child was visiting with grandparents around the corner. All is ok and no problem.

Caller on North Avenue reports that there has been very loud work being done on the property all day. He finally went over and asked the guy to stop and he was told not for several more hours. The caller then called back to say that the work has stopped.

Party on Wave Way Avenue called to report that she lost her purse in the area of her home. It is a small black purse and contained keys. Her license and a credit card was also in the purse/.
