Chamber of Commerce President Paul Leavy certainly summed up the feelings of the entire community when he publicly thanked Joseph Clark of the Winthrop Federal Credit for its 10th Annual Halloween Haunt that proved to be an overwhelming success.
Mr. Clark’s daughter, Cathleen, and the Credit Union put a lot of time and effort into hosting this event every year and it truly has become one of the most anticipated and fun events on the calendar for the children of this town.
This year the Credit Union was able to donate several hundred cans and $280 to support the Winthrop Food Pantry, thanks to the “Trick or Treat, While Helping Others Eat†theme of the event.
We congratulate the Winthrop Federal Credit Union for a great Halloween event, one that everyone will be looking forward to again come October 31, 2010.
