The Winthrop Foundation, in collaboration with State Representative Jeff Turco and Town Council President Jim Letterie, presented Classical Concert, performed by The North Shore Philharmonic Orchestra on September 19 at Saint Michael the Archangel Parish. The orchestra performed musical pieces that captured the resilience and joy of the journey across America, as well as folk and dance tunes, concluding with the “Symphonic Suite” from “The Lord of the Rings,” and an encore performance of “Raiders March,” from “Indiana Jones,” which received a standing ovation. Non-perishable items were collected in lieu of an admission fee to benefit the Winthrop Food Pantry.
