Residents also were saddened to hear of the recent passing of Maryalice Sharkey, who served our community as a long-time teacher and then as a member of the School Committee.
Maryalice brought an unmatched drive and zeal to everything she did, and was honored by the Massachusetts Commission on the Status of Women for her lifetime of advocating on behalf of public education.
We know we join with all of our fellow residents in offering our condolences to her family members, especially John, her husband of 54 years, and their children.
May she rest in peace.
