Winthrop Public Library and Museum Unveils New Study Rooms

Special to the Transcript

The Winthrop Public Library & Museum is pleased to announce the addition of three new study and meeting rooms, created through the renovation of a section of the library’s basement.

The new spaces include two intimate rooms that each accommodate up to two people and one larger room that seats four to six. All rooms can be reserved for up to four hours per booking and may be scheduled up to one month in advance.

Patrons can book the rooms themselves through the library’s website at winthroppubliclibrary.org. Simply select Resources > Study Rooms, log in with your library card, and choose your preferred time.

These private spaces are ideal for tutoring sessions, job interviews, study groups, small organizational meetings, and other activities where quiet, confidential space is needed. The library is delighted to offer this new resource to the community.

The library also continues to provide two larger meeting spaces: the Bergman Room (seats 30) and the Hazlett Room (seats 75).

The Winthrop Public Library & Museum extends sincere thanks to Town Manager Tony Marino and the Building Department for their partnership and support in bringing this project to completion, and Correale Construction and Inello Electric for their work.
