The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the appointment of Sheryl Ann Queen as its new President, effective January 2026. Queen succeeds Attorney Marc Chapdelaine, who has served the Chamber with dedication and leadership.
Queen is the owner of Twist & Shake, a longtime Winthrop business she has owned and operated for the past 18 years. She brings more than 24 years of experience as a business owner, along with a strong background in hospitality. Prior to owning and operating Twist & Shake, Queen spent over a decade in the hotel industry, where she advanced through leadership roles to become a Hotel General Manager.
Through her long-standing business presence in Winthrop, Queen has developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing small businesses and the importance of strong community connections.
The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to support and strengthen its local business community, foster economic growth, and enhance Winthrop’s quality of life through advocacy, networking, resources, and meaningful connections between businesses, residents, and local government. Under Queen’s leadership, the Chamber will continue its focus on building and supporting a vibrant and resilient business community.
“As a business owner, I understand the struggles small businesses face every day,” said Queen. “The Winthrop Chamber of Commerce has been a vital part of our community for the last 75 years, and my goal is to keep this organization moving forward. While many surrounding Chambers are finding it increasingly difficult to operate in today’s ever-changing business environment, what makes Winthrop different is that our community truly depends on the Chamber. I encourage businesses and residents to follow us on social media, give us a call, and visit our new website. I look forward to working closely with Diana Aliberti to strengthen the Chamber financially, improve and solidify our relationship with local government, and continue our strong support of the Winthrop community.”
The Chamber looks ahead with optimism to this next chapter under Queen’s leadership and remains committed to serving as a strong voice and resource for Winthrop businesses. For more information about the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce, visit www.winthropchamber.com.
