David Ernest Lessard
Cherished Member of the Winthrop Community, Retired Winthrop Police Lieutenant
David Ernest Lessard, a respected police lieutenant and cherished member of the Winthrop community, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2024. Born in Boston on March 12, 1955, to Ernest and Muriel Lessard, David remained a lifelong resident of Winthrop, Massachusetts, dedicating his life to his family and community.
David is survived by his loving wife, Karen Connolly of Everett, with whom he shared countless cherished moments and a beautiful family. Together, they raised four children: Kristina, David Jr. and his wife Alyson, Andrea, and Michael. David was a proud and doting grandfather to Emerson and David III, who brought immense joy and light into his life.
In his professional life, David served with honor and distinction on the Winthrop Police Department for over 40 years, retiring as a lieutenant. His dedication to public service and commitment to safety left a lasting impact on the community he served so faithfully.
David’s passion extended beyond his professional duties; he was also a life member of the Winthrop Yacht Club. Serving twice as Commodore and spending over six years on the board of directors, David’s leadership and enthusiasm helped shape the club into a vibrant community hub. In addition, he was a member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks.
David is also survived by his siblings Mary and her husband Charles, Richard and his wife Jane, Nancy and her husband Patrick, Katherine, Linda and her husband Mark, and Donna, as well as many nieces and nephews. His extended family and numerous friends will remember him as a man of integrity, kindness, and unwavering support.
David’s legacy is one of profound commitment—to his family, his profession, and his community. Those who knew him will recall his gentle spirit, his firm resolve, and his generous heart.
David Ernest Lessard’s memory will forever be a beacon of dedication and love in the hearts of all who knew him. May he rest in peace, having left the world a better place through his presence and service.
The funeral was conducted from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church. Services concluded with the interment in the Belle isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Corrine Jean Corbett
She Loved and Cared for Everyone, Especially Her Family
Corrine Jean Corbett of East Boston passed away on April 11, 2024.
Corrine was a long time former employee at Spotless and Frankie’s Cleaners in East Boston. She was a social butterfly who loved and cared for everyone, especially her family.
Corrine was the heart and soul of the family and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.
The loving daughter of the late Joseph and Gertrude (Tiffany) DiStefano, she was the beloved mother of Jodi Spolsino and her late husband, Peter Pelosi of Revere, Tammie Ambrosino and her husband, Frankie of Saugus, and Tracie Corbett-Donovan of Malden and former spouse Michael Portrait, Sr. of Medford; dear sister of Robert DiStefano and his wife, Anne of Revere, Claire Sparks and her husband, Nick Spolsino of Saugus, Gail DiStefano and her husband, Ray Cosby of Malden, the late William DiStefano and numerous loving nephews and nieces. She was the adored grandmother of Shane Corbett and his wife, Cassie, Keah Tillman, Destiny Morgan, Michael Portrait, Jr., Shealynn Spolsino, Kaylee Morgan and the late Vanessa Gail Morgan and the cherished great grandmother of fourteen.
Family and friends honored Corrine’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, East Boston on Wednesday, April 17th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Committal services private.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Corrine’s name to the American Cancer Society.

Analia “Sally” Pagliuca
Devoted Mother and Grandmother
Analia M. “Sally” Pagliuca, of East Boston passed away suddenly on April 15 at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, surrounded by her loving family.
Sally was born in the Azores, Portugal, on April 21, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Elias Travassos and Mary Mello (Lundstrom) Travassos. Sally and her family moved to the United States in 1948, settling in Cambridge.
Sally later moved to East Boston to start her family with her former husband, Anthony Pagliuca. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her three sons and five grandchildren. Sally enjoyed sewing, knitting, and making her own clothing. Most importantly, she loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.
She was the devoted mother of Mark Pagliuca and Victor Pagliuca, both of Winthrop and Paul Pagliuca and his wife, Kerri of Lynnfield; cherished grandmother of Nykole Pagliuca of Tewksbury, and Allison, Jennifer, Ashley and Joseph Pagliuca, all of Lynnfield; dear sister of Elias Travassos and his wife, Jan of Hudson, NH and the late Edward Travers and Allan Travassos and his wife, Lorraine. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her former sister-in-law, Madeline Reyes.
Family and friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours on Thursday, April 18th, from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Vertuccio Smith & Vazza, Beechwood Home for Funerals, 262 Beach St., Revere. At the conclusion of visiting hours, there will be a brief prayer service. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Sally’s memory to MGH CAA Research..
