Perrin Promoted to Fisher College’s Vice President of Student Affairs

The Fisher College Board of Trustees and President Steven Rich have announced the promotion of Winthrop resident Brian J. Perrin, JD, to the position of Vice President for Student Affairs. Vice President Perrin has served as Dean of Students since 2021. The College has redefined the Vice President’s position to include responsibilities as both Vice President for the Student Affairs Division, as well as Dean of Students. Perrin’s new position oversees; Campus Police, Athletics, Medical Services, Mental Health Counseling Center, Food Services, Student Activities, Student Conduct, Judicial Affairs, Legal General Counsel, and Campus Housing.

Since joining the Fisher College staff in 2018 as Chief of Police, Perrin has served the College in a number of key administrative positions, most notably Interim Dean of Students and thereafter as permanent Dean of Students. “Throughout his tenure, Perrin has exhibited his unwavering commitment to our students and their overall well-being. During Perrin’s time here at Fisher College he has demonstrated his leadership skills, compassionate concern for students, and a collaborative and flexible approach to problem solving on a 24/7 basis” said Fisher College President Steven Rich.

“Fisher College is a unique, vibrant and amazing place, and I have always been impressed with and enjoyed working with so many motivated students, faculty, and staff,” Perrin said. “I plan to continue enhancing collaborative partnerships with our colleagues and students to promote student development, increase student engagement and participation and achieve a higher level of  satisfaction in all that Fisher has to offer” he continued. “We will continue to offer new and exciting opportunities for all our students to develop the skills that will prepare them for the world and life beyond Fisher College and to be the leaders of tomorrow.”

“I congratulate Mr. Perrin on this well-deserved promotion,” said Steven Rich, President of Fisher College. “This position is an important part of my leadership team that works across Fisher’s campus to ensure all our students have  positive and transformative experiences while attending our college”

Perrin is a licensed attorney and holds a Juris Doctorate from the Massachusetts School of Law, and has a successful law practice in Winthrop MA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from Salem State University.
