Fisher College of Boston MA, has announced the appointment of Brian J. Perrin Sr, as the College’s Dean of Students. Perrin served as Fisher College’s Director of Public Safety/Police Chief for four years and most recently as the Interim Dean of Students since December of 2021. The appointment to Dean of Students was effective September 12, 2022.
“Perrin has a great deal of experience that will be an asset to the Dean of Student’s Office as well as to the College. We were fortunate to have Perrin serve us in an interim capacity as Dean of Students last year, and I’m happy that he will stay on in this roll, offering the College considerable, and varied professional experience and stability†said Fisher College President Steven Rich.
The Dean of Students enhances the College’s mission by engaging students in programs and services that help develop responsible, successful students; provides leadership and oversight to the Dean of Student’s Office, which oversees Fisher’s Counseling Center, Discipline Process, Health Center; Athletics Department, Housing, and Student Activities and serves as an advocate for students in the college community.
Perrin holds a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Massachusetts School of Law, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Salem State University. Perrin served on the Winthrop School Committee for twelve years and recently retired as its chairman.
Prior to Fisher College Perrin served as the Lieutenant Colonel of the Massachusetts Environmental Police from 2015-2018 and as a Lieutenant Detective for the Winthrop Police Department from 1987 until 2015. Perrin is a practicing attorney since 1999 and has a successful law practice located in Winthrop.
