Maureen E. Gill

Lifelong Winthrop Resident

Maureen E. Gill (Magee), a lifelong resident of Winthrop, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and children on April 25, 2022. She was 78 years old. Maureen was the beloved wife of Peter T. Gill. Born in Winthrop, she was the cherished daughter of the late Raymond and Eleanor (Callahan) Magee.

Maureen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Being surrounded by her family gave her the ultimate joy of life. Prior to her retirement, Maureen worked as the Office Manager for Century 21 in Winthrop. She was a Past President of the Winthrop Skating Club.

Maureen was the devoted mother of Brian C. Gill and his wife Pamela of Stoneham, Lisa A. Howard and her husband David of Winthrop, Brendan M. Gill and his wife Kimberly of Milton and Gretchen A. Duffy and her husband Chris of Milton. She was the adored grandmother of Riley and Grace Gill, Christian Howard and his wife Jennifer, Ashlyn, Gretchen and Declan Howard, Ryan and Matthew Gill and Caroline and Joe Duffy and loving great-grandmother of Quinn Theresa Howard. Maureen was the dear sister of Anne Dichele of Connecticut, Justin Magee of Winthrop and the late Raymond (Remi) Magee and Jane Wood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home 210 Winthrop St. Winthrop on Tuesday, May 3, at 9AM followed by a funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10AM. Relatives and friends are invited, Interment will be private. Visiting hours will be held in the funeral home on Monday, from 4-8PM. Judith Walsh

Devout Wife, Loving and Caring Mother and Grandmother

Judith A. (Seamans) Walsh of Winthrop passed away on April 23. She was 82 years old.

The beloved wife of the late John F. Walsh, Jr., she was born in Woodland, ME, the cherished daughter of the late Elwood “Bill” and Ruth (Moore) Seamans.

Judith enjoyed gardening, working with arts and crafts and “scrapping” She was a devout wife, a loving and caring mother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Judith was the devoted mother of Patrick T. Walsh of Winthrop, Maureen A. Salvucci and her husband, Mark of Hingham and Thomas J. Walsh and his wife, Joy of Delray, FL. She was the cherished grandmother of Amanda, Samuel, Jake and Julia and the dear sister of Brenda Prout of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop, today, Thursday, April 28 at 9 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Priscilla Budreau

She Will Be Remembered by All for Her Witty Humor and Spirit up to the End

Priscilla (Sue) H. Budreau passed away in her sleep on April 18 just three months after celebrating her 90th  birthday.

Sue and her late husband, Bill, lived their entire lives in Winthrop where they raised their three children: Ken, Jim, and Aimee, as well as an assortment of cats and dogs. Sue worked at Lahive & Cockfield, a patent law firm in Boston, for almost twenty years where she zealously managed a program that provided paid internships to inner city high school graduates.     Sue lived in her Johnson Ave home with her late daughter, son-in-law and three of her grandchildren before moving to the Parc at Harborview in 2017. In the past five years, she enjoyed playing cards with friends and spending quality time with family.  She will be remembered by all for her witty humor and spirit up to the end.  In addition to her two surviving children, their spouses, Elaine Mahoney and Donna Griffith, Sue leaves her son-in-law, Tim Boudrow, as well as six grandchildren: Tori, Dillon and Ethan Budreau, and Joshua, Lauren and Jessica Boudrow. Sue will be missed deeply by her family, friends and staff at the Parc.

Hilda Cordano

Of New Hampshire, formerly of Winthrop

Hilda M. (Luy) Cordano of Newton, NH, formerly of Winthrop, passed away on April 19, 2022. She was 106 years old.

The beloved wife of the late Ido

C. Cordano, she was born in Lima, Peru, the cherished daughter of the late Pedro

and Elisa (Rojas) Luy. Hilda was the devoted mother of Rosilda Mangini and her husband, Fred of

Newton, NH and Pedro Cordano of Wakfield; the adored grandmother of Jeffrey Mangini and Sandra Farrell, both of Amesbury, Debra

Mono of Plaistow, NH, Viviana Ciampa of Amherst, NH, Giannina Wilkinson of Windham, NH, Franco Cordano of Wells, ME and the late Fabiola Cordano and the loving great-grandmother of 12 great-grandchildren. Hilda was also pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held in St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Friday, April 29 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited — please go directly to the church. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery (Belle Isle Section).

Maryanne Lucerto

Of Reading, formerly of Winthrop

Maryann Lucerto of Reading, formerly of Winthrop, passed away at home peacefully surrounded by her loving family on April 22. She was 70 years old.

Born in Boston, the beloved daughter of the late Amelia (Susi) and Peter J. Zagarella, she was the devoted wife of Paul Lucerto and the loving mother of Michael Lucerto and his companion, Chelsea Beaudoin of Salem and Matthew Lucerto and his husband, Michael Coppola of Winthrop; dear sister of Rose Marie Carney (Zagarella) and her husband, Michael of Winthrop; beloved aunt of ael, Ryan and Dan; sister-in-law of Louis Lucerto and his wife, Susan. She is also survived by her best friend, Mark Doria and dear friends and caregivers, Alba Guerrero, Keri O’Keefe, Dora Murillo and Tammy Arsenault.

Funeral arrangements were by the Ernest P. Caggiano Son Funeral Home, 147 Winthrop St., Winthrop. Interment was in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
