Town Averaging 34 Confirmed Positive Cases a Week

The Massachusetts Department of Public Health has notified the Town officials of 42 additional confirmed positive cases of the virus in Winthrop since our previous coverage from April 13. Reporting delayed due to holiday. These additional cases bring the numbers up to 2,235 total cases with 35 deceased, 45 isolated and 2,155 recovered.

Over the past six weeks, the Town has seen an average confirmed positive COVID-19 case increase of roughly 34 per week, with the lowest increase of 23 additional cases the week of March 25 and the highest being this past week, with an increase of 42 cases.

The Winthrop Public Health is offering assistance to those who may have difficulty registering for the Covid vaccine.  Anyone in need can call the EOC number at 617-539-5837 or email [email protected].
