Townwide community yard sale June 9

The townwide community yard sale will be held June 9. Deadline to register is Wednesday, May 30. This is a great opportunity to clean out the closets, cabinets, basement, garage and more!

You can also register at the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce which is located at 207 Hagman Road.

This event is also supporting CASA on June 9, will you?

CASA (Community Action for Safe Alternatives) has been heavily fundraising recently because we are set to finish our main funding source come September. There has been significant headway in recent months, and there are a few more fundraisers in the pipeline.

On June 9, there will be a cornhole tournament at Ingleside Park with lots of raffles and a food truck.  There are 32 (or more) teams of two at $100 a team for a chance to win four behind home plate Red Sox tickets (included parking pass).

The company that is hosting the tournament with CASA is giving large donors the opportunity to sponsor a board. A $1,000 donation to CASA gives a company the opportunity to submit a team (of two players), have their logo on a set of boards and when the tournament is over, the company gets to take their personalized boards and bags home.
