Norma A. Petrillo. of Crest Avenue, Winthrop passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on March 18. She was 87 years old.
Born in Winthrop, the beloved daughter of the late Anna (Anderson) and Einar Edwardson, she was the devoted wife of Louis Petrillo and the loving mother of Gail Marie Goodwin of Revere and Stephen Petrillo and his wife, Ana of Winthrop, the dear sister of the late Ann Marie Friel and the cherished grandmother of Jeremiah and his wife, Vania and Justin. She was also the great-grandmother of Stephen.

Joseph Giannotti
Retired foreman for Boston Transfer and Buckley Systems, member of Beachmont VFW
Joseph A. Giannotti of Winthrop Shore Drive, Winthrop, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on March 18. He was 66 years old.
Born in Woburn, the beloved son of the late Angelina (Arpino) and Nicholas Giannotti, he has been a resident of Winthrop since 1974. He was employed as a foreman for Boston Transfer and Buckley Systems, manufacturing electrical products prior to his retirement. He was also a member of the Beachmont VFW.
He was the devoted husband of Susan M. (Torci) and the loving father of Rachel Giannotti McCarthy and her husband, Andrew J. of Lynn and Joseph A. Giannotti, Jr. of Fraser, Colorado;Â the dear brother of Alice Faulkner of Somerville and the late Nicholas R. Giannotti, II and Pauline Giannotti-Hennelly and the cherished grandfather of Samuel.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation in the St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop, today, Thursday, March 22, from 9 to 11 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the church immediately following the visitation at 11:30 a.m. Committal will be private. Anthony Palmer
Standout All-Scholastic athlete in football, hockey and baseball, WHS Class of 1994
Anthony K. Palmer of Winthrop died on March 15.
Anthony was a graduate of Winthrop High School, Class of 1994. He was a standout athlete, All–Scholastic in three sports, football, hockey and baseball. During his senior year football season, he was the state’s top scorer. He went on to play in college at U Mass. Amherst and Stonehill. After college, his football career continued as a semi–pro in Europe.
He was the devoted father of Anthony Jr. , loving companion of Alexsandra Servideo, beloved son of Grace (Geraci) and the late Kenneth Palmer, all of Winthrop, dear brother of Chris Palmer of Winthrop and Michael Palmer and his wife, Tanya of Lynnfield, loving uncle of Brett, Tia, Alessandra, Lucia, Francesca, and JoJo. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral mass was celebrated at St John the Evangelist Church (Winthrop), yesterday, Wednesday, March 21 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted. Francis “Frank” Campedelli
Eastern Airlines retiree, flew 50 missions as U.S. Army Air Corps nose gunner during WWII
Francis “Frank†Campedelli of Jacksonville, Fla., passed away peacefully at his Assisted Living Community, Wyndham Lakes in Jacksonville on Friday, March 3. He was 94 years old.
Born in Chelsea and a graduate of Chelsea High School, Class of 1942, Francis joined the Army Air Corps in 1943 and honorably served his country during World War II as a nose-gunner flying 50 missions on a B24 Liberator with the 15th Army, 98th Bomb Group, 344th bomb squad.
He was employed with Eastern Airlines at Logan Airport Boston for over 20 years and moved to Jacksonville in 1987 after his retirement.
Preceded in death by his wife and best friend, Lorraine Gifford Campedelli, Frank is survived by his daughter, Jane Campedelli of Jacksonville, Fla., his brother, Alfred Campedelli of Winthrop and niece, Joyce and her husband, Paul Sartorelli of Georgetown. He also leaves many dear friends and extended family.
Another hero from the Greatest Generation gone but will never be forgotten.

Vera Frances Limone
Of Florida, formerly of Winthrop
Vera Frances Limone of Hallandale, Fla., formerly of Winthrop, passed peacefully on December 22, 2017 at the age of 84.
The beloved wife of Ralph Limone for 64 years, she was the devoted mother of the late John Limone, Nancy Hartling and her husband, Kenneth of Salem, N.H., James Limone of Boston and Carol Limone of Winthrop; loving grandmother to Amy, Jody, Kacey, John, Leah, Hannah, Anthony and Nicolas; sister of Lori Lapointe and her husband, Lou of Florida, sister-in-law of the late Louis and Liz Limone of Boxford, Joseph and the late Claire Limone of Winthrop, Emily and Guy Sorrentino of Groton, and Richie and Lucy Limone of Winthrop. Vera was a wonderful godmother and aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to celebrate Vera’s life on Saturday, April 7, at 10 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop, with a reception to follow at the church.
