Cheryl Cronin

30-year coordinator for the New England Eye & Tissue Bank

Cheryl A. Cronin of Sewall Avenue, Winthrop passed away at the Neville House in Cambridge on June 12. She was 66 years old.

Born in Stoneham, she was the beloved daughter of the late Elaine Forfia (Gilson) and Francis Mitchell. A resident of Winthrop for the past 12 years, she worked as a coordinator for the New England Eye and Tissue bank for over 30 years.

She was the devoted wife of Thomas M. Cronin and the loving mother of Jarrod Mitchell of Merrimack, New Hampshire and Lauren Cronin of Chelsea; the dear sister of Kenneth Forfia of Williamsburg and Ronald Forfia of Las Vegas, Nevada. She was also the cherished grandmother of Nathan, Aeden and Madison.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Sunday, June 18 from 2 to 6 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home the same day starting at 5:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New England Organ Bank 60 First Avenue, Waltham, MA 02451 or go to www.neob.org.
