“I’m very excited about being elected,” said Capobianco. “A lot of my friends and young voters turned out and I’m grateful to them and all of the people of Winthrop. I want to thank the voters and Speaker Robert DeLeo.”

Capobianco conducted a well-organized and vigorous campaign, going door-to-door in Winthrop, mailing out “Dear Friend” cards, and advertising in the Sun-Transcript. Friends, family, and supporters held “Capobianco” signs at the polls on Election Day.

Capobianco will take office at the next Democratic State Committee meeting.
