We understand there’s some good news coming for residents who live in the so-called flood zone in the town.
The town reportedly will be allowed to revert back to the previous flood map (from 1992) which will result in savings in flood insurance for many residents. Local officials are awaiting a letter from FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) to confirm the revised flood map. Until then, residents affected by the news can contact their insurance agents who are well-versed on such matters.
