During their visit, the Girl Scouts explored the inner workings of the police department with an informative station tour. They were introduced to the fascinating world of forensic science, learning how fingerprints are used to solve crimes. The highlight of the visit was when the girls had the chance to dust for fingerprints at a mock crime scene, putting their newfound knowledge to the test in a hands-on activity.

Beyond learning about investigative techniques, the Scouts engaged in thoughtful discussions with the detectives, asking a variety of questions about law enforcement and community safety. The experience provided invaluable lessons on how to stay safe and help protect those around them.

The troop and their leaders extend their sincere gratitude to Detective Lieutenant Callinan and Detective Adamson for their time, patience, and enthusiasm in making this badge-earning opportunity both educational and memorable. Many of the girls left feeling inspired, with some even expressing interest in pursuing careers in law enforcement.

Through experiences like this, Troop 70227 continues to grow in confidence and knowledge, all while strengthening their connection to the community they proudly serve.
