Michael Vito Lombardo

Co-founder and CEO of GlideFast Consulting, an Elite ServiceNow Partner

Michael Vito Lombardo, 37, of Topsfield, sadly passed away on Saturday, July 6, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. He faced the disease with incredible strength, courage, and dignity.

Michael was born on January 31, 1987, in Malden to Lorraine and Jason Lombardo.  He was raised in Everett.  More of a student of life than the classroom, Michael received his GED and subsequently completed the YearUp program.  After YearUp, Mike began his career as a help desk analyst and rose to become a system administrator at a large hospital in Boston where he successfully led their implementation of ServiceNow.  This pivotal moment ignited Mike’s love for ServiceNow.  He eagerly consumed and learned everything he could about the platform, shaping his vision for the future. Michael went on to become the co-founder and CEO of GlideFast Consulting, an Elite ServiceNow Partner. Under his leadership, the organization grew into an international company with over 600 employees. Michael deeply cared about each person that works for GlideFast and their families, feeling a profound responsibility to help them become the best versions of themselves. He was dedicated to their success, always striving to support their growth, happiness, and well-being.

His immense career successes were surpassed only by the beautiful family he and his wife, Jessica created together.  Michael and Jessica grew up on the same street and were friends since their pre-teen years.  Their friendship eventually grew to true love, one that was built on trust, support, and lots of laughter.  Michael and Jessica have two incredible children together, Sophia (11) and Olivia (7).  Both of Michael’s daughters have inherited Michael’s infectious smile that brightens every room they walk into, an unwavering love for their family, and a silly disposition that allows them to find humor and joy in any situation.

In addition to his career and family, Mike was a dedicated philanthropist. He served on the board of the Joe Andruzzi Foundation, which aids cancer patients and families who are facing financial insecurity.  Michael was also a staunch supporter of YearUp, a nonprofit organization devoted to providing professional development opportunities to young adults.  Additionally, Michael answered the call to anyone who needed support, assistance, or help- it truly brought him joy to give to others.

Michael is survived by the love of his life and wife, Jessica; his loving children, Sophia and Olivia; his proud mother and father, Lorraine and Jason Lombardo; his late step-dad, Neil Shapiro; his mother-in-law, Luann Butera; his father-in-law, Big Artie Gadman; his grandmother Grace Silva; Jess’ grandparents, Tom and Barbara Butera; his sister, Andrena Lombardo Silva and her husband, Kenny Silva; his brother-in-law and best friend, Artie Gadman; his Godmother, Maryann Maniscalco and her partner, Greg Buccini; his aunts and uncles: Joe and Claire Silva, Dennis and Dawn Silva; his cousins, Gina Maniscalco, DJ Silva, Doug Silva, Eric Silva and the late Joey Silva; his many nieces and nephews, Julia Silva, Francesca Silva, Lily Gadman, John Silva, and Arthur Gadman, and countless friends.

Visitation for Michael will be held on Friday, July 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Paul Buonfiglio & Sons Funeral Home, 128 Revere Street, Revere.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Anthony’s Parish, 250 Revere Street, Revere, Saturday, July 13 at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, 302 Elm Street, Everett

George Bolster

Owned Bolster’s Shell, Bolster’s Texaco and The Automall, all of Winthrop

George W. Bolster, born June 17th, 1929, passed away peacefully at home on July 5th, with family by his bedside. He was 95 years old.

Born in Worcester, George lost his mother when he was a toddler and was ultimately raised with his brother, Harold by their maternal grandfather, George “Gramp” Doherty in Charlestown.

A hard worker from a very young age, George had a number of jobs growing up. He started a savings account at the “Five Cent Savings Bank” in Boston with the first nickel he ever earned. To this day, he still retained the bankbook showing that first deposit.

A graduate of Boston Technical High School, George joined the US Marines when the Korean War broke out and served proudly from 1950-1952 (active) and was honorably discharged in 1959. Even when time robbed him of many memories, he always remembered he was a US Marine and insisted he wear a Globe and Anchor pin every single day.

After active duty, George was a welder for the Watertown Arsenal, and later, a union ironworker, working on many of the buildings in downtown Boston. He began Bolster Texaco in 1955 in Winthrop Center, working the evening shift as an ironworker until he was confident his business was secure. He later purchased the corner lot at 2 Shirley Street and it became known as Bolster Shell, or just “Bolster’s” with its big neon sign on the canopy. He would go on to purchase land on Veterans Road and turn it into The Automall.

An avid Harley Davidson rider, George rode for more than 60 years, even trailering his bike to the Colorado Rockies to ride while in his eighties. He was very proud of the antique car collection he amassed over the years, and he was known for driving around in many different cars, often participating in Town parades. Jay Leno once called him personally to congratulate him on his collection after being sent a DVD copy of the WCAT feature “Cream of the Crop” about his collection.

George leaves his children, George Jr., and his companion, Kim of Winthrop, Jackie Gemme and her husband, Larry of New Salem, MA, Michael and his companion, Shirley of Winthrop, and his daughter, Susan, also of Winthrop.

George was grandfather to George Doherty Bolster and his wife, Shanna of Rowley, MA, Christopher John Bolster and his wife, Justine of Winthrop and Justin Gordon Bolster and his wife, Vanessa of Prince Edward Island, Canada.

George was a brand new Great-grandfather to Noah Glenn Bolster of Rowley, MA.

George also leaves his nephew Bruce Bolster and his wife, Linda of Winthrop, his grand-nieces, Christina and Laura of Winthrop, his brother, Charles Bolster of Rutland, MA, and his niece, Christine Conroy of California. George was predeceased by Marguerite (O’Brien) Bolster and by his nephews, David Bolster of Winthrop and Steven Bolster of California, as well as his brother, Harold, also of California.

A funeral service was held in the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 10. Services concluded with military honors in Winthrop Cemetery (Old section).
