State Senate Forum Planned

On Monday, December 6 at 7:30 P M, the Winthrop Democratic Town Committee will host a State Senate Candidate Forum including Revere School Committee Member Anthony D’Ambrosio and Boston City Councilor Lydia Edwards. The candidates are vying to fill the seat recently vacated by Winthrop’s very own Joe Boncore. The Town Committee anticipates that this will be an informative discussion about the most pressing issues that are facing  Winthrop and the region at this time. The forum will be streamed live on Zoom using the following link: https://bit.ly/WinthropSenateForum (case sensitive) and passcode: 145627.

2022 Parking Permit Mailing Delay

Due to a supply chain issue at the printer, 2022 parking permits will not be mailed on December 1 as they usually are.  The permits are now expected to arrive in mid-December with mailing to begin on or about December 15.  Residents are still encouraged to apply for their 2022 permits as soon as possible and the permits will be mailed once they arrive.

As a result of this delay, any temporary placards with an expiration date on or after November 30, 2021 will be automatically extended until the 2022 permits are mailed.  2021 parking permits are no longer available as of December 1.  Any resident who does not already have a 2021 permit and needs one immediately can contact the Tax Office for a temporary placard until the 2022 permits arrive.

Information about the resident parking program is availble at: https://www.town.winthrop.ma.us/resident-parking-program
