Dedicated Wife and Mother
Bridget M. (Darby) O’Brien, 91, of Winthrop, formerly of Somerville, passed away on May 3.
The beloved wife of the late Patrick T. O’Brien, Bridget was born in Dublin, Ireland, the cherished daughter of the late Charles and Helena (Shelley) Darby. She loved to go ballroom dancing with her late husband and was a dedicated wife and mother.
Bridget was the devoted mother of Raymond C, O’Brien of Winthrop, Laraine P. Mitchell and her husband, Grant of Lynnfield and the late Gary J. O’Brien; the adored grandmother of Thomas O’Brien; the dear sister of the late Catherine Mele and Joseph, Charles and Thomas Darby and the loving aunt of Helena Hardy and her husband, Dennis and many other nieces and nephews.
A visiting hour will be held in St. Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Rd., Framingham on Saturday, May 15 from 9 to 9:50 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Natick.
