The Winthrop High School Class of 2019 is set to graduate 156 Friday night in the Winthrop High School gymnasium at 6 p.m.
This year’s valedictorian is Camila Miranda-Llovera and Jared LaVigueur is the salutatorian.
This year’s class has the title of Gen Z, born in 2001, they are first to know the World Trade Center in New York City only from the terrorist attack.
Today’s graduates may not know what a roll of film is but they have embraced the world in selfies taken mostly on Apple iPhones.
This year’s class officers are: Ava Bertino , President ; Russell Nichols, Treasurer; John Silva, Class Marshall; Kirsten Griffiths,Videographer; Anthony Nargi, Vice President  and Sofie LaFratta, Secretary.
Seniors held an all-night party last Friday night. Tuesday was the Senior Prom Promenade, followed by the prom at the Danversport Yacht Club.
Last night was the dinner and awards ceremony and the distribution of yearbooks.
Today, the day before the big day, seniors attended a breakfast, graduation rehearsal, walks through the schools and a BBQ at Miller Field.
