Joe Boncore, who won the Democratic Primary for State Senate, attended Mayor Martin J. Walsh’s community breakfast Sunday at the Hilton Logan Airport Hotel and it was great to see so many people approaching Joe and congratulating him on his victory. Joe is unopposed in the May 10 general election and he will be officially inaugurated as our new state senator for Winthrop and the district the following week.
Joe sat at Mayor Walsh’s table at the front of the large function hall, joining State Rep. Adrian Madaro of East Boston and State Rep. Aaron Michlewitz of the North End. Joe also spoke to the large gathering, saying that he is looking forward to working with Mayor Walsh in continuing the progress that Boston has made in the past two years.
It was a great event for Joe and it’s an exciting time as he takes his seat in the Massachusetts State Senate as Winthrop’s first state senator in town history.
