1:32 p.m. – Report of an alarm going off on Grandview Avenue. Officer reports building is secure.
2:52 p.m. – An Upland Street resident requests medical aid. Fire Department is notified.
11:01 p.m. – Report of a defective alarm sounding on Shirley Street.
Tuesday, January 19
2:49 a.m. – Individual on Shirley Street requesting an ambulance.
4:56 a.m. – Defective alarm sounding on Shirley Street.
9:04 a.m. – Officer reports recovering an abandoned red Schwinn bicycle at skate park.
9:37 a.m. – A resident of Veterans Road reports that an unknown individual knocked on the door twice and left.
9:46 a.m. – A motorist on Faun Bar Avenue is given a citation for one way and stop sign violations.
10:43 a.m. – A motorist on Walden Street is given a citation for speeding.
12:06 a.m. – A motorist is stopped for speeding on Washington Avenue and is given a citation.
12:51 p.m. – Caller reported an attempted break-in on Hillside Avenue. Officers reports that storage shed has been kicked and frame was cracked, but no entrance could be gained.
3:09 p.m. – Security company called to report an alarm at Governors Drive. Building is found to be secure.
7:07 p.m. – Report of a motor vehicle crash at Pleasant Street and Somerset Avenue.
7:35 p.m. – Report of a motor vehicle crash at Golden Drive and Revere Street.
9:57 p.m. – Caller reports breaking and entering incident in progress on Governors Drive. Security guard reports owner chased a couple of kids trying to climb through a window.
Wednesday, Jan. 20
12:35 a.m. – Traffic citation issued for motor vehicle violations on Pleasant Street.
5:09 a.m. Officer reports roads are getting icy. DPW is notified.
9:52 a.m. – Call for medical aid at Fort Heath Apartments. Call is referred to Fire Department.
11:04 a.m – Citation issued to a motor vehicle operator on Veterans Road for operating vehicle on wrong side of the road.
11:19 – Unconscious male on park bench on Shirley Street is transported to Whidden Hospital in Everett.
3:55 p.m. – Officer reports finding a motorist’s vehicle on Wilshire St. that Is on the Parking Ticket Tow List.
5:19 p.m. – Officer reports youths with lasers shining them at cars, airplanes, and passing people. Officer located four youths, approximately 10 years old, confiscated lasers and dispersed group.
8:00 p.m. – Verbal warning given to motorist on Walden Street.
8:33 p.m. – Suspicious motor vehicle is reported on Grandview Avenue. Search for vehicle is negative.
Thursday, January 21
9:07 a.m. Defective alarm on Woodside Avenue. Officer reports that alarm had been accidentally activated.
11:49 a.m. Traffic citation issued on Winthrop Street.
3:25 p.m. Traffic citation for operator’s expired driver’s licensed is issued on Winthrop Street.
9:10 p.m. – Caller reports motor vehicle crash and a vehicle’s bumper damaged near the tennis courts at Winthrop High School.
Friday, January 22
12:35 a.m. Officer reports that a motor vehicle was struck on Bowdoin Street while parked. Damage was done to driver’s side of the vehicle.
2:03 a.m. Report of loud music being played at Veterans Road apartment. Officer reports that he heard no noise at the door of the apartment and that he knocked on the door and there was no answer.
2:20 a.m. Caller reports a motorist leaving the scene after his vehicle struck another vehicle on Orlando Avenue. Officer reports that vehicle has rear end and driver side damage.
7:48 a.m. – Alarm activated for building on Shirley Street. Officer reports building is open for business and there is no sign of forced entry.
8:35 a.m. – Caller reports an incident of vandalism to the rear window of a vehicle on Overlook Driver. Caller said that nothing was missing from the vehicle.
9:10 a.m. – An individual reports that Christmas tree was dumped in front of a home on Siren Street. DPW was notified to pick up tree if possible.
10:49 a.m. – A motorist is stopped on Pleasant Street for violations.
10:55 a.m. – A defective burglar alarm was activated on Woodside Avenue.
12:14 a.m. – A motorist was stopped on Veterans Road and issued a traffic citation.
1:31 p.m. – A motorist is stopped on Washington Avenue and given a citation.
2:47 a.m. – A motorist is stopped on Main Street/Douglas Street and given a traffic citation.
2:56 p.m. – A motorist is stopped on Woodside Avenue/Pauline Street and given a traffic citation for a one-way violation.
7:32 p.m. Many 911 calls reported for a motor vehicle crash in which the vehicle is flipped on its roof. It was single vehicle accident with two people in the motor vehicle. Winthrop Fire Department extricates the individual from the vehicle. Both individuals are transported to hospitals.
Saturday, January 23
2:19 a.m. – Caller reports a motor vehicle hit and run incident on Crest Avenue.
3:00 a.m. – Caller reports disturbance (group of individual loitering). Officer reports that the group on Sea Foam Avenue is waiting for a taxi and tells officer they will keep the noise down.
8:15 a.m. – Report of an alarm accidentally activated at Winthrop High School.
12:13 a.m. – Individual reports a purse was taken while inside a church.
12:14 p.m. – An individual reports to police that his vehicle was struck on Shirley Street, causing damage to the side view mirror and quarter panel.
12:42 a.m. – Officers responds to Lewis Lake area and clears five kids from the area. Kids had been previously reported to have been on the ice at Lewis Lake.
2:20 p.m. – Individual reports fining a syringe near the skateboard ramps. The syringe is brought to the station and is properly disposed of.
2:41 p.m. – Report of a motor vehicle crash on Main Street. Officers report minor damage and that operator will receive a citation.
2:51 p.m. – Report of a fender bender on Washington Avenue involving two motor vehicles.
5:01 p.m. Security company reports alarm sounding on Cutler Street. Building is found to be secure.
Sunday, January 24
7:30 a.m. Individual is transported to the Whidden Hospital from Washington Avenue.
7:52 a.m. Individual reported neighbor’s alarm sounding on Court Road. Individual thought she smelled smoke. Winthrop Fire Department and Winthrop Police check out the residence and it appears to be faulty battery on the smoke detector. Note was left for the homeowner to contact WFD.
12:08 p.m. – Alarm accidentally activate at Bowdoin Street residence.
3:40 p.m. Car alarm on Otis Street keeps sounding. Officer reports the alarm has been reset.
8:28 p.m. – Traffic citation is issued to a motorist on Pleasant Street.
