Peter Solomon Recognized by Winthrop Public Library Upon His Retirement

“The staff of the Winthrop Public Library & Museum want to wish a sincere Congratulations! to Pete Solomon on his retirement after 25 years of working as Circulation Supervisor. Pete made a definite impact on the community as demonstrated by the over 125 patrons stopped by on Thursday, November 30th to share some coffee and cake with him and wish him well. Pete established himself as an integral part in the weekly routine of many Winthrop residents, who stopped by to use the library but to also make that personal connection with our long standing library resource.

Thank you to Eric Reidistar for bringing Pete’s Official Congratulations from the State Senate, put forward by Senator Lydia Edwards. Thank you to State Representative Jeffrey Rosario Turco for coming with similar congratulations from the House. And also thank you to Town Manager Tony Marino for bringing the Town Council’s proclamation on Pete’s behalf.

Big shout out to Pete’s Mystery Bookclub members for helping with the setup and cleanup and for the Friends of the Library for buying an incredible cake from Torretta’s.

Thank you to Everyone who helped us wish Pete the very best in his retirement!”
