Police Blotter 11-15-2018

Monday, November 5

Unit off with a disabled motorist on Revere Street. Subject was issued a citation for red light violation.

In between the East Boston Savings and For Kids Only, there is a suspicious package sitting on top of the mailbox. Caller states the package has been there since yesterday. Officer reports that the package was too big to put in the mailbox and was left on top. Officer reports that it does have a local address on the box and everything appears to be normal.

Party on Waldemar Avenue reports receiving several annoying/harassing and obscene phone calls since April/May. She was advised to contact her cell phone provider AT&T.

Caller on Shore Drive reports that while cleaning out an apartment from the previous tenant, he discovered a small baggie of .22 ammunition behind the wall outlet.

Party on Overlook Drive states that she can hear two parties fighting in their apartment. Caller states that the fight is getting very aggressive verbally. Units spoke to caller and the other parties. They agreed to keep the noise down. The argument was over Chinese food and was verbal in nature only.

Caller on Golden Drive states that his neighbor’s door has been open for two hours now. Caller walked over to the door and yelled the name of the individual who lives there and got no response. Caller is concerned. Units checked the apartment to see if there was anyone inside. Home was clear. Units secured the door.

Party on Shirley Street states there is a possum in her dining room and she is home alone and scared. ACO responding.

Two parties came to the station with a dog they found on Main Street near the bridge. ACO notified and will respond. Owner was located and the dog was reunited with its owner. ACO cancelled.

Caller hears children in basement of EB Newton School and first floor. Youths were located and spoken to. Told that the building is closed for the public at this time.

Party on Somerset Avenue states there is two parties breaking into a car on her street. One subject is white and the other is black. Caller states that her next door neighbor always leaves her car open. 93 states all units can clear. Parties are unloading the car. They are moving back from Florida.

Tuesday, November 6

Caller on Winthrop Street states two or three parties fighting in the parking lot. W93 reports witnesses stated the parties headed toward Fremont. Units clear. Attached male is the victim. Party is not forthcoming with information about his assailant who is his cousin. W91 will be giving the party a ride to the bridge. W93 will remain in the area. No medical aid required.

Report of a manhole cover off to the side and not covering the manhole on Shirley Street. No officer or DPW on site. 91 reports DPW on the scene and the have resolved the issue.

Report of a baby blue vehicle driving o the wrong side of the road on Revere Street. It is heading towards Dunkin Donuts. BOLO given to units.

Male party on Main Street stating he believes another male party was following him and trying to rob him for money. This is in the vicinity of Ace Hardware store. Male party abruptly hung up. Party living on a boat behind address in the house. It was a miscommunication. Party with the Jeep lent money to the other party. Parties were meeting up to pay back the money.

Attempted to serve subject a summons on Natant Avenue. Summons was successfully served to the individual.

Attempt to serve summons to individual on Enfield Road. Successfully served.

Charlie 1 sent 93 to check for an open garage door on Wilshire Street. Party reports being notified by a neighbor that someone removed the boards that were placed there after the fire by a company. Caller reports this is the second time. Party was informed that he will have to call and have it rescued if it is open. Party was informed that we will have units keep a check on the property. Unit clear property and garage all clear. Unit also spoke to a neighbor who stated they had not seen anyone recently in the area of the home.

Trespass tow for fire lane blocking at Governors Park.

Party came to the station to report he was having issues with his landlord. He wanted it documented that he peacefully moved out tonight and will not be returning to the apartment. He also stated he will be going to court tomorrow and attempt to seek a harassment protection order.

Unit is off with a vehicle with two people passed out  on Tafts Avenue. Unit reports he spoke with the two parties and does not need medical. Parties were sent on their way.

 

Wednesday, November 7

Two car motor vehicle accident with injuries on Highland Avenue. Fire and EMS enroute.

Party was directed to the station to complete a report regarding the harassment of her daughter.

Report that three vehicles were blocking a business on Shirley Street. All three vehicles are being moved. Units spoke to the owners.

Party from Russell Street came into the lobby and wanted to report an ongoing harassment. Victim/witness statement was filled out.

A couple that was out walking came into the station with a debit card that they found near the bus stop at Revere Street and Governors Park. Nobody by the name on the card was in our system.

Report that a white sedan was blocking driveway on Sagamore Avenue. Unit states that two white vehicles but neither is blocking driveway.

 

Thursday, November 8

Unit came across a vehicle on Bartlett Road in a driveway with the door open. Unit attempted to make contact with homeowner to check if it wasn’t a break-in. No answer at the door. Car door was open. No sign of forced entry. Unit patrolled the rest of the area with nothing showing.

976 reports motor vehicle blocking construction site on Lincoln Street and needs to be moved.

Party on Fairview Street left a voicemail with a detective last night. Party stated there may have been an attempted breaking and entering at her residence. 91 unit will respond to the residence and attempt to speak with the caller. 91 spoke with the caller and he did not observe any sign of a break-in. However, screen was off and he put the screen back on for the caller.

93 reports two parking signs at the corner of Underhill and Shore Drive making it confusing for motorists. Also, the parking sign on Wave Way and Shore Drive parking sign on left side of the street. Should be on the right side. DPW notified.

Report of a dying raccoon or cat on Revere Street. ACO removed one possum.

Caller on Quincy Avenue states that her neighbor is banging on the ceiling, disturbing her children. This is an ongoing issue. Units spoke to both parties involved. Both parties will speak to the landlord and peace was restored for now.

Caller states a male outside of store on Revere Street harassing customers for money. Officers spoke to male party who was very cooperative and was waiting for someone to buy him a coffee.

Caller states there is a female and male party acting suspicious. Caller states they are walking down Revere Street towards Beachmont looking into houses and cars. Officer located the subjects in just over the line in Revere. He spoke to the parties. They reside in Revere and were just walking home.

Party on Court Road states a gray Range Rover hit her vehicle and did not stop, but continued to drive. Two car motor vehicle accident with no injuries – hit and run. Units off with the vehicle and the victim on Thornton Park. Officers report this was all a misunderstanding. There was no accident and there was no damage to either vehicle.

Caller at Governors Park reports noise complaint. Officers spoke to both tenants. This is an ongoing issue. Parties were advised of their rights and also to report the matter to the condo association.

Party from Ft. Heath Apartments called to complain about what he believes to be an over zealous police officer that cited him when he believed he should have been given a warning. The party was advised to come to the station to file a formal complaint but preferred to settle for a journal entry. So done.

Caller from Governors Park stated that her neighbors are controlling her heat and complaining about the house being too hot then too cold. Ongoing issue. Units had a conversation with the residents. It is the same ongoing issue. Units advised parties of their rights and it is an ongoing court issue with management and the court.

 

Friday, November 9

Party came to the station to report a hit and run to her blue Chevy yesterday. An accident report to follow.

Caller on Shore Drive walks his dogs down the path toward the point. He assumes he sees human feces and toilet paper on the ground. ACO has the information, and will follow up.

Caller on Grandview Avenue is concerned because a white male in his late 40s with jelled back hair approached her twice in front of her house and asked, “where is a good place to party around here?” The male is driving a gold vehicle with Kansas plates. Caller is scared because she is home alone with her baby and wants a police officer to just come and assess the scene. Offices spoke to the subject who is on vacation from Kansas and staying at the Crystal Cove Inn. Officers moved the individual on his way.

Woburn PD called and stated they received a call from a male on Otis Street. Woburn Police still had an open line with the caller but it has since gone silent.

Caller states three kids jumped into a truck and sped off down Buchanan towards Winthrop Street. Officer is enrollee to the car’s listed address to speak to the owner of the car. Unable to locate the car. No one was at listed address.

A burglar alarm went off on Main Street. Called in by Protect America who made contact with someone named “Joe” who gave the incorrect pass code. Building is now secure.

 

Saturday, November 10

Report of a small white vehicle stuck in a large puddle on Walden Street. 91 stated that the whole street is several flooded and DPW was notified. Units did push the vehicle out of the water to a dry area. They are trying to restart it until AAA gets there. 92 is blocking off the top of the street so vehicles can not pass from Walden to Pauline to Lincoln.  Pico Avenue is also flooded.

Caller on Morton Street states that someone threw a pumpkin at their window. Units stated a large pumpkin was thrown through the window just missing a boy sleeping on the couch. The pumpkin did also cause damage to the front window and items inside the house. Units got all the information they needed and will be driving around the area to check for cameras.

Report of two dogs with collars and tags wandering around Locust Street unattended. Owner was located.

Report of a child being attacked by  dog on Shirley Street. No people injured, it was dog vs. dog.

Party left a message on detective’s voicemail stating she was getting harassing e-mails four years ago and she juste wanted some advise on the situation. She was advised of her rights.

Party came into the station seeking advice on a custody issue. He was advised of his rights. This is an ongoing issue. Party was advised to address custody issues with his attorney and through Probate Court.

Caller states there is a man in the doorway of the church on Shirley Street with his pants down and it looks like he could of urinated himself. No one in the area when units checked.

Units assisted fire with traffic on Shirley Street.

Caller states that at the corner of the High Tide and the hardware store, there appears to be a telephone pole that could fall down due to its leaning at a weird angle. National Grid was contacted and they are going to send someone out to check the pole.

93 states low hanging telephone wire on Shirley Street. Verizon notified and will send someone out to investigate.

Caller states that a male party in a bobcat is dumping sand all over the seawall on Strand Way and Wyman Street. Unit clear, that individual is hired every year to build a sand wall for the storms.

Calling party on Strand Way was assaulted by a male in a red shirt. It was the next door neighbor who threw dirt at the calling and party and fled home. Units clear, no crime committed, dispute got heated verbally.

Assisted fire at Governors Park.

Female party making statements on Shirley Street. She is on the beach. Female party will be section to the MGH.

 

Sunday, November 11

Caller from one apartment on Atlantic Street is fighting with upstairs neighbor. Units clear, when units arrived, there was no noise.

Party on Almont Street states that she drove past a medium size beige/white dog with tags. ACO and officers checked the area with nothing showing for the dog but there is a turkey.

Caller on Whittier and Otis Street states a blue Honda parked on the corner and a sign states no parking. Officer reports that the vehicle was parked illegally and tagged.

Party on Shirley Street states she witnessed a turkey get struck by a car and limp away towards the grassy area with benches. ACO off for the day. Headquarters attempting to make contact. ACO on the scene attempting to  locate the animal. Nothing showing.

Caller at Governors Park states that a neighbor is threatening her husband. Caller states that the unwanted party does not live there. Parties are arguing. Unit heading to secondary address to get the other side of the story. Unit spoke to all parties. All parties agreed to stay away from each other. It was a verbal argument over a party possibly staring at females. Peace was restored.

Party on Washington Avenue states there is a fight going on between her neighbors.

Caller on Washington Avenue reports that he hears screaming and possibly breaking furniture. Units spoke to the parties at the residence. It was a verbal argument between two parties. They have since calmed down for the night.
