Monday, November 30

Caller reports there is a construction truck blocking Faun Bar Avenue and a trash truck going the wrong way on Prospect Avenue. Officer reports a crew working in several areas at once. One Safety Officer is assigned, but can only be in one place at a time. DPW was called and will inform the crew to consolidate. If they can’t, he will request another officer. DPW would like another officer.

A detective and nit 91 responding to a student’s residence on Pauline Street to check on the well being of the student, after the student failed to arrive at school this morning. The student was located at home with family and everything was fine.

Party came to the station to report that the people on the second floor on Main Street have their windows open and she pays the heating bill. She wants this on record. She later came back to state that her tenants have not closed their windows. She asked if we cold go there again and order them to close their windows and remove the air conditioners from them as well. She also asked that since they do not pay rent, we remove them from the apartment. She was advised this was a civil matter and she needs to go to the court. She showed us paperwork from the court, but stated it was taking too long. She was advised to speak with her lawyer.

91 stopped a motor vehicle at Winthrop and Lincoln Street. The operator is driving with suspended license. Placed under arrest for operation of vehicle with suspended license and one-way street violation.

Male at Ft. Heat Apartments reports a past breaking and entering.

911 transfer call for a medical aid at Executive Apartments. EMD notified.

Unit reports being stopped by the manager of CVS who reports a theft from the store by a group of youths. Unit reports seeing a video and will try the skate park where he believes they hang out. Unit repots having one brought to the station to notify his mother. A report was submitted.

Caller at Executive Apartments repots that items left by the US post office in the building was stolen from the hallway.

E911 medical aid to assist a patient at The Arbors. Caller at Governors Park reports someone knocked on her door and yelled at her for calling the police.

Caller from Executive Apartments reports he fell down and hit his head. Fire and ambulance notified and will respond.

Caller on Shore Drive called requesting an ambulance. The call was transferred to EMD and WPD for service. The patient was in cardiac arrest. WFD requested an officer to respond. The ME’s office was also notified. Units cleared upon removal of the deceased.

Tuesday, December 1

Motor vehicle was repossessed by New England Associates on Douglas Street.

Male party on Somerset Avenue is requesting an ambulance due to trouble breathing. Officer was dispatched to assist and gather further information due to a language barrier. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Report of fire alarm activation at Alcohol & Drug Free Lodging. Subject reports no smoke observed. He was advised to have the tenants step outside until it could be verified. W91 came upon the address at the same time. He will stand by to assist if need be.

Party on Revere Street called to report that a male is taking papers at 5 a.m. each day. The caller reports that their camera reveals that one of our officers spoke with the male this a.m. 918 reports he did speak with a male regarding the papers and the subject put it back. Officer spoke to him regarding his actions and he will not do it again. The party is known to us.

W902 reports a major water break at the construction site on Cross Street. Fire and DPW notified.

Female caller on Brewster Avenue reports a male there is in need of detox and medical help. The male party left the residence before EMS arrival. Fire reports the male is now waiting for the bus. Units spoke with the male who is now leaving town. All is okay and no assist needed.

Caller at Ft. Heath Apartments request an ambulance for his wife who has a high temperature.

Patients threatening to hurt herself at Bay Cove Human Services. EMS notified and responding. Officer responds and reports a female patient going to Whidden for an evaluation.

Caller at Winthrop Middle School reports a person opening a manhole in the street. Before an officer could respond, ASAP Drain called to state they have a backup in the town’s sewer line and request we contacted DPW. DPW notified.

Party on Maryland Avenue reports that his mother is unresponsive. Officer reports 85-year-old female being transported to MGH.

Caller on Sunnyside Avenue repots that her 10-year-old daughter received two pornographic pictures on her cell phone via a text. Detective notified and will follow up.

Party on Pauline Street repots a dog in an unattended truck for 2 hours. He is worried for the safety of the animal. The officer reports there is no vehicle, truck or otherwise in the area.

Wednesday, December 2

Party on Sturgis Street reports a red motor vehicle is completely obstructing his driveway. The officer reports leaving his blue lights on and there is no sign of the owner. Call was made to the number on file, which has been changed. G&J was dispatched to remove the vehicle.

Reports of a motor vehicle accident on Crescent Street. Units dispatched and repot needing a tow for one vehicle.

Report of a man falling outside the officer of Winthrop Housing Authority.

Male on Shore Drive called for his friend who is having great pain.

Caller on Beacon Street reports there is a motor vehicle there with keys left in the trunk lock. W91 responded and took control of the keys and brought them to the station. Officer left a note with the car regarding the keys. The key owner called the station regarding his keys. W92 responded to Beacon Street with the keys. The party thanked us and also the citizen for calling it in.

Several calls of a male party needing assistance down on the ground on Tafts and Otis Street. Units dispatched along with WFD and report an uncooperative male party going to the Whidden via Action. Officer only able to get his name.

Caller on Golden Drive reports knocking on her friend’s door and then she heard a loud crash. Now her friend is not answering. EMS responding.

North Suffolk Mental Health worker called requesting we check on one of her patients as she can not get in touch with her even though she “beeped” her 15 minutes ago. This happened on Buckthorn Terrace. An officer spoke with the party and she will call the health care worker. No service needed.

Alarm Company reports someone on the high school property and on a front loader. Units responded. The alarm company called back reporting it was a known person on the site and they are supposed to be there. Units cancelled.

Party from a neighboring address reports the lights are all on on Sagamore Avenue. She believes it is bank owned and nobody should be there. Officer reports the family is still residing there and everything is fine.

Thursday, December 3

A report of loud banging taking place at the new high school site. Officer reports checking the area to no avail. No workers on the site. The officer checked the entire area to no avail.

Party on Prospect Avenue reports there is a motor vehicle on the corner making it difficult for vehicles to turn. The officer reports tagging the vehicle for now. Traffic would be able to get by as well as WFD.

Caller on Myrtle Avenue reports a home there has an audible alarm sounding for fire. WFD notified.

Party on Pleasant Park Road reports that his friend is having a seizure. Fire notified and transferred to EMS.

Cardiology Associates requests medical for a patient. Fire notified and transferred to EMS.

Caller on Grovers Avenue reports a tree company is in the area of the Winthrop Arms and a branch almost hit her. The officer reports a safety issue and a safety officer was hired.

CVS called to report that their back room is flooded. DPW notified.

Detectives are off on a follow-up at Ft. Heath Apartments.

Party on Nevada Street reports a smell of smoke and oil in the basement with the fire alarms going off. Fire notified.

Motor vehicle was stopped for speeding at Main and Pleasant Street. Driver came back as having an expired license.  The driver parked the car and was told to have a person with a valid driver’s license pick up the keys from the station.

Caller on Waldemar Avenue reports that her father, who has dementia, was scammed over the last two days out of approximately $2850 via the telephone and money grams. She will come to the station and retrieve a victim/witness statement and assist her father in filling it out. She will return it tomorrow.

Health care worker on Peasant Street called requesting EMS for a woman who fell in her bedroom.

Caller reports a motor vehicle accident at Highland and Cliff Avenue. She is nervous about the other party, as he is being aggressive towards her. An officer assisted in exchanging paperwork.

Party on Franklin Street reports hearing two men arguing out front. Officer reports no sign of subjects arguing in the area.

Female party on Cottage Avenue is requesting EMS for her elderly father. Cal transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Motorist stopped for a violation at Sturgis and Shore Drive.

Friday, December 4

Report of a motor vehicle crash on Pleasant Street with unknown injuries. Officer requested EMS and a tow. W94 off at Pauline and Pleasant Street to assist with the traffic control. K9 will be assisting further down Pleasant Street.

We received a call from Essex Regional from phone number on Cutler Street. Several callbacks were made to the female who refused to give the address. Apparently her and a friend were overcharged for a taxi ride and were calling 911. The party and her friend appeared to be under the influence. She stated they do not need assistance.

Numerous calls of two men fighting and a woman screaming outside of Ft. Heath Apartments. Officers report all three were at the scene, no battery observed. The peace was restored after obtaining further information.

Harbormaster asks us to make a notification regarding a party’s sailboat for the Beverly Harbormaster. W91 responded to River Road and reports that no one by that name resides there and the harbormaster was notified.

Calling party on Shirley Street found keys on the ground. An officer brought the item to the station.

Manager of CVS called yesterday to have SRO view video surveillance of two female juvenile shoplifters.

Party called to repot that her husband thinks he may have left his Iphone at the ATM on Main Street this morning. If anyone should turn it in, please call him. An officer repots no phone at the ATM.

Winthrop Taxi is worried about a person that called them for a taxi on Overlook Drive and they can’t find him. They called back and found the person.

Party at Magee’s Corner reports a suspicious person going into people’s driveway filming the houses. Described as a white male, jeans, black jacket and black backpack with spiky hair. Officer reports no one in the area.

Detectives are on a follow-up at Ft. Heath Apartments.

Caller on Nahant Avenue repots a wire down in her driveway. Transferred to fire.

Calling party on Argyle Street repots old tenants vandalized his house before they moved out.

Report of a water main break in the area of South Main Street. Referred to DPW.

Report of having no water on Prospect Avenue. DPW notified.

Another caller on Prospect Avenue reports that her water is all brown and coming from the faucet that way. DPW notified.

Party on Governors Park reports his 7-year-old daughter had glass in her eye. They may have gotten it out. Fire notified.

15-year-old reports there is a group from East Boston in front of his home on Woodside Avenue and they want to beat him up. 918 and W94 responded and spoke with the parties who claim they are owed money. The officers sent them on their way. The officers spoke with the caller who will call back if they return. He called back and he believes that they may be back as he can see two shadows outside. The officer checked the area and no one is there. He will stay in the area for a bit.

Firefighter called to report that a woman just came into the fire station on Pauline Street to get away from a black and white pit bull that was running in the area. Message left for ACO. 918 checked the area on his way from Woodside Avenue and spoke to the woman at the fire station. The party reports that the dog was taken in to a house by the station.

Several calls of a motor vehicle accident on Main Street. One call reports they hit their head. Fire notified. W92 and W94 responded to wait for the tow.

Saturday, December 5

Party on Hermon Street reports that her husband may be having a heart attack. Transferred to EMS.

Caller at Atlantis Marina Condos called to say that his wife might be having a stroke. Transferred to EMS.

Call of a dead cat on the sidewalk near Pleasant and Edgehill Road. ACO will handle.

Caller on South Main Street reports that the DPW was fixing a water main break last night and he stated that the hole in the street is filling up with water. DPW was again notified.

Party on Pleasant Street called to report that her mother needs an ambulance to be checked out at the hospital. EMS notified.

Caller on Lewis Avenue reports there is a refrigerator on public property and the doors are still on it. Officer reports it is there and yes the doors are on. He told the owner to have the doors removed or take it back on her property. She is being given an hour. If nothing is done, then we will give her a civil citation for $300. Unit reports heading back and observes that the doors were removed.

Officer has stopped a motor vehicle at Revere and Shirley Street. G&J will tow. The operator has a Maine license, which is suspended and also expired in Mass.

Caller reports that kids are smoking reefers at the basketball court. Officer reports they are all in their teens, no 94C in the area.

Report of a smell of smoke and an alarm is going off at Viking Gardens. Fire notified and reports it is food on the stove.

Multi calls of a man on a bike that was struck by a vehicle at Revere and Harvard Street. Medical notified. Officers report male subject going to the MGH. The officers are also checking the video from the 7-11.

Officer repost he has a motor vehicle stopped and it comes back as expired. G&J will tow.

Caller from Floyd Street who is rushing out reports there is an odor of gas in the area. Fire will handle.

Party on Shirley Street request an ambulance for her husband who is having chest pains. Fire and ambulance notified.

Motor vehicle stop on Main Street for speeding, with the operator having a revoked license. G&J notified.

Sunday, December 6

Caller on Circuit Road reports that his wife is having an allergic reaction. Fire and ambulance notified.

Officer has vehicle on Crest Avenue stopped for investigation. Officer spoke to the subjects and advised them to go inside the residence.

Party on Central Street reports a loud party at the three family home next to his. W93 Guerra and 92 Connolly report speaking to a resident and they will be shutting it down for the night.

Caller on Revere Street called to say that her 89-year-old mother might be experiencing complications from her medications. Fire contacted and they will respond.

Party on Cottage Park Road repots that his neighbor fell and needs assistance. Call transferred to EMD and WFD for service.

Party came to the station to inquire if anyone turned in an Iphone. Reports losing it yesterday in the Elks parking lot. W91 responded to several locations in the Point where the phone location pinged.

Ambulance requested for party on Sagamore Avenue.

Party heard on the fire channel that they are responding to a report of a house fire on Pearl Avenue.

Party from previous incident came to the station to retrieve his bicycle from the accident. The party signed a receipt and was given his bike.

Report of a motor vehicle obstructing the crosswalk near Blackstrap BBW. The vehicle was ticketed. The officer will attempt to locate the person in control of it to have it moved. When the officer checked back the vehicle was still obstructing the crosswalk. A tow truck was sent to the location to remove the vehicle.

Report of a male down on Payson and Franklin Street. Medical notified. The party was sent to the Whidden.

Caller on Main and Cross Street reports some youths are about to fight. The officers report speaking to all youths and the parents of them are responding to the scene.

Party called from Edwards Street reporting smoke in the area of Douglas and Main Street.

Everett PD faxed over a harassment order to be served on party on Woodside Avenue. The subject was not home but his roommate will notify him to contact police upon his arrival.

Caller from out of state reports losing his dog. Units notified and report the dog was last seen on Ingleside Avenue. The owner called to report locating his dog and than ked us for our response.
