Congratulations to Winthrop High football star Jordan Corbett-Frank, who received the prestigious Scholar-Athlete Award from the Eastern Mass. Chapter of the National Football Foundation at a banquet Sunday night. Corbett-Frank was a deserving choice for this award which recognized his academic excellence and his achievements on the football field where he rushed for more than 1,200 yards this season.
Head football coach, Sean Driscoll, and high school principal, Eileen Belastock, joined Jordan and his proud family in attendance. This award not only reflects well on Jordan, but on the entire Winthrop football program. This fall Jordan will be attending the University of Maryland, an outstanding institution, and we know Jordan will look back at his football playing experience for the Vikings with the greatest of memories while knowing what an excellent example he set for other players in the program.
