Steven M. Glass of Winthrop died on Monday, March 31.
The beloved husband of Terry (Andelman) Glass, he was the devoted father of Danielle Wirling and her husband, Ryan, Denise Parrish and her husband, Michael and Erica Glass; loving son of the late Morris Glass and Beatrice (Remar); dear brother of Diane Schwalb and her husband, Joel, Elaine Miller and her husband, Israel, Marla Porrazzo and her husband, Al and the late Richard Glass and loving grandfather to Hannah Parrish. Funeral arrangements were by the Torf Funeral Chapel, Chelsea. Interment was in Tifereth Israel Winthrop Cemetery, Everett. Memorial Observance will continue at his late residence today, Thursday, from 1 to 4 and 4 to 6 p.m. And Friday from 1 p.m. until sundown. Rose Gallo
Of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston
Rose J. (Malia) Gallo of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston, passed away on Tuesday, April 1. She was 91 years old.
Rose was a long-time dedicated bookkeeper for Sweetheart Paper Co. in Chelsea and receptionist at the East Boston Social Center.
The beloved wife of the late Dante J. Gallo, she was the loving mother of Albert Gallo and his wife, Ella of Baldwinville, Diane Feely and her husband, Paul of Reading and Linda Cronin and her husband, James of Winthrop; cherished grandmother of Paul Feely, Jr. and his wife, Rebecca, Lisa Pare and her husband, Scott, Sarah Gallo and her husband, Allister Glenny, Jaime Goldfarb and her husband, Jason and Louise Gallo. She was the great grandmother of six, loving sister of the late Josephine Gomez and is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Family and friends will honor Rose’s life by gathering for calling hours today, Thursday, April 3 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Vazza’s “Beechwood†Funeral Home, 262 Beach St., Revere and again at 8:30 a.m. Friday morning before leaving in procession to St. John the Evangelist Church in Winthrop for a Funeral Mass to be celebrated in her honor at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.
