Town Clerk Carla Vitale released some key dates and information about the upcoming election on November 2 during a chat with the Winthrop Sun-Transcript this week.
Vitale announced that:
The deadline to register to vote to be eligible for the Nov. election is Oct. 13. The Town Clerkâ€™s office at Town Hall will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on that day.
Residents can view a copy of the ballot in the Town Clerkâ€™s office or on the Winthrop Home page under news and announcements.
On election night, the townâ€™s unofficial results be sent to the Associated Press, WCAT, and posted on the front door of Town Hall and the Home Page of the town Web site: www.town.ma.us
Residents can obtain copies of the voter information red books (ballot questions) at the Town Clerkâ€™s office.
Absentee ballot applications can be downloaded from the Town Clerkâ€™s Web page at http://www.town.winthrop.ma.us./Pages/WinthropMA_Clerk/index, or the Secretary of State Web site at www.sec.state.ma.us/ele.eleidx.htm
Vitale also indicated that Paul Loscoccoâ€™s will appear on the ballot even though he has announced his withdrawal from the race for lieutenant governor.
