The Winthrop Health Department will hold a big H1N1 (swine) flu vaccination clinic for all Winthrop residents Saturday at the Cummings School. Town Councillor Jeanne Maggio, chairwoman of the Council’s Health and Safety Committee, said all residents are eligible to receive the vaccination.
Maggio has worked hard to keep this important health issue in the spotlight and she encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to get the H1N1 flu vaccine.
Although the potentially deadly flu has not been in the news much lately, health officials agree that it still poses a threat to people of all ages and that a vaccination is the best means of ensuring that our loved ones and ourselves are protected.
