Richard Alfred Ross

Retired Texbook Rep.

Richard Alfred Ross of Newbury died in Burlington. He was 86 years old.

A US Navy Aviator veteran of World War II and a retired Text Book Rep for McGraw Hill, he was born in Winthrop and was the husband of Helen (McNab) Ross; father of David M. Ross of Newbury and Susan and her husband, Douglas Johnson of Hampstead, NH; grandfather of Taylor and Connor Johnson; brother of Robert D. Ross of Wells, ME and Marion Dowdell of Canada.

Visiting hours are Sunday, November 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. in the F.S. Roberts and Son Funeral Home, 14 Independent Street, Rowley. Memorial services will be held at St. Paul’s Church, High Street, Newburyport on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 2  p.m. Family and friends are invited. Private burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Newburyport. Donald R. Abbott of Malden died on November 6.

A US Air Force Veteran, he was the Past President Boston Carmen’s Local 589

He was the beloved husband of Jane M. (McAleavey); devoted father of Diane M. Pereira of Malden, David W. Abbott and his wife, Diane (Vecchia) Abbott of Winthrop, and the late Bonnie J. Abbott and Donald R. Abbott Jr.; cherished brother of Dorothy Harrington of Arizona, Arthur Abbott of Florida, Earl Abbott of New Hampshire, Robert Abbott of Florida, and the late David Abbott Jr. Proud grandfather of Bonnie Jean Pereira, Luke Abbott and Ava Abbott.

Elena (Maglio) Iodice-Errobino of East Boston died on November 6.

She was the beloved wife of Arthur Iodice and the late Michael A Errobino; devoted mother of Michael E. Errobino of East Boston and Linda Walsh and her husband, Richard of Billerica; dear sister of Catherine Giardullo and her husband, Gennaro of Saugus and the late Phyllis Breault and Louis Maglio; adored grandmother of Jennifer Johnson and her husband, Robert, Katie Allen and her husband, Thomas and Michael Walsh; cherished great grandmother of Brook and Luke Allen and Evan and Ryan Johnson. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Peter A. Lazzarino of Winthrop, formerly of East Boston and the North End, died on November 6.

A late employee of Boston Edison Co., he was the beloved husband of more than 40 years to Dolores (Payne)Lazzarino; devoted father of Nicholas Mustacchio and his wife, Lisa of East Boston, Warren Mustacchio and his wife, Anna of the North End of Boston and Jeanine Gaeta and her companion, Jonathan Markiewicz of East Boston; dear brother of Katherine Kenny of East Boston and the late Anna Testa and James Lazzarino;  cherished grandfather of Nicole, Michael, Gina, Gabriella, Nicholas and Nicholas and is also survived by many adored nieces and nephews.

Frank J. Cannizzo, a lifelong resident of Revere, died on November 6 at the Anne Mark Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. He was 85 years old.

A US Navy veteran of World War II and a late member of the Plumbers Union Local # 12, he was the beloved son of the late Joseph and Mary (Raia); dear brother of Eleanor DeAmelio and her husband, Harold, Josephine Flaherty and her late husband, John, all of Revere and the late Anna D’Orlando and her late husband, John; loving uncle of Janice Decoulos, Mary Dunn, John Flaherty, Diane DeAmelio and Robert DeAmelio, all of Revere, Joan Isenberg of Virginia, John D’Orlando of Florida, Paul D’Orlando of New York and Karen D’Orlando of California.

Eleanor L. “Ellie” (Heffernan) Bosari of Revere, formerly of Florida and Somerville, died on November 5.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward; mother of Edward and Mary Ann of Revere, Lori Pica of Florida, Eileen Dawson and her husband, Paul of Stoneham, Susan Ferrino and her husband, Joseph of Winthrop, Nancy Gould of Lynn, Kathleen Bereznoski of Everett, Patricia Capadanno of Everett, Kenneth of Winthrop, Sheila Goodreau and her husband, Jeff of Florida, David and his wife, Donna of New Hampshire and the late Sharon Greenwood; sister of the late Shirley Salerno, Doris Castelli and Frances Doyle and is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
