We’re pleased to recognize CASA (Citizens Against Substance Abuse) from Winthrop and its executive director, Pat Milano, on receiving a Drug-Free Communities Support Program grant in the amount of $625,000. CASA will use those funds “to involve and engage the local community to prevent substance use among youth.”
This grant is great news for CASA and reemphasizes the importance that Ms. Milano attaches to her organization. Pat, a graduate of the esteemed Yale University, recognizes that her organization faces a challenge on the issue of drug use in the town and this large infusion of funding will allow her and her staff to direct young people on the right path in their lives.
