Josephine M. (Nastasi) Dalton of Winthrop died on November 11.
She was the dear and devoted wife of the late Edward F. Dalton; beloved mother of Maureen
Pingaro and her husband, Robert, Janis McFarland and her husband, Robert and Jacqueline McDermott, all of Winthrop, Walter
Dalton and his wife, Kelly of Maryland, Edward Dalton of Oregon and Susan Cummings and her husband, Kevin of Winthrop; grandmother of Dina
Beshere, Daniel O’Neill, Robert Pingaro, Jr., Michael Pingaro, Robert McFarland, Janelle Falgout-Forbes, Joseph McDermott Jr., Matthew, McKenzie, Jake and Marcus Dalton, Kyle, Kara and Ali Cummings; dear sister of Olivia Lombard, Josephine Monello, Mary Gagliardi, Joseph Monello, and the late Louise Izzo and Concetta Piazza. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren as well as several loving nieces and nephews.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Kfoury Keefe Funeral Home, West Roxbury. Interment was in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Josie’s memory to the Salvation Army (salvationarmyusa.org) 213 Main St., Malden, MA 02148.

James ‘Jimmy Magg’ Magnasco
Retired Winthrop Deputy Harbormaster; owned Jimmy Maggs Restaurant in East Boston ; member of many organizations
James A. “Jimmy Magg†Magnasco of Winthrop passed away suddenly on November 10. He was 71 years old.
Jimmy was a Life Member of the Winthrop Lodge of Elks #1078, a member of the Orient Heights Yacht Club, Volunteer Yacht Club, Knights of Columbus-Winthrop Council #162, Circle Yacht Club, Ft. Lauderdale Small Boat Club and the Danvers Fish and Game Club. Jimmy was the owner of Jimmy Maggs Restaurant in East Boston. He was a veteran of the Massachusetts National Guard and a retired Deputy Harbormaster for the Town of Winthrop. His favorite hobby was flying which he enjoyed for many years.
The beloved husband of Geraldine (Ahern) Magnasco, he was born in Winthrop, the cherished son of the late James and Lucy (Rapino) Magnasco. He was the devoted father of Jeralyn P. Zuffante and her husband, Christopher, Deborah A. D’Andrea, and Dena M. White and her husband, Matthew, all of Winthrop, Lisa M. Magnasco of New Jersey. and James A. Magnasco Jr. and his wife, Susan of East Boston; adored grandfather of Christopher, Caroline and Catherine Zuffante, Nicholas, Nicole, and Kendra D’Andrea, Mathew and Connor White, and James III, Julie and Sonny Magnasco; dear brother of Pat Magnasco and his wife, Diane of East Boston and the late Russell, Dennis and Kenneth Magnasco and Geraldine Premont. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
