Geraldine M. Bennett of Winthrop passed away at the CHA Everett on September 3, 2026. She was 88 years old. Born in Boston on July 14, 1938, to Grace (Costa) and Alexander Fougere. She grew up in East Boston and was a proud graduate of East Boston High School.
Geraldine had a talent for creativity and a passion for sharing it with others. She taught ceramics for many years, including at the local senior center, where she enjoyed helping others discover the joy of working with clay. Later in life, Geraldine developed a deep appreciation for the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed cheering on her beloved team.
She was the devoted wife of the late Eugene T. Bennett and the loving mother of Tom Bennett and his girlfriend, Kristin Armstrong; dear sister of James Langley, Lawrence Langley, Thomas Fougere, Jean Lentini and Arthur Fougere; loving cousin of Judy Masucci and aunt of Lisa Laurano, Victoria Laurano and Robert Laurano. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
