Maureen Sheehan

50-Year John Hancock Insurance Co employee

Maureen T. Sheehan, a lifelong resident of Winthrop, passed away at home on June 23. She was 67 years old.

Born in Chelsea, she was the cherished daughter of the late Edward and Margaret (Carolan) Sheehan; dear sister of Edward M. Sheehan of Virginia, loving aunt of Lisa M. Jamen of New Hampshire, Amanda Sheehan-Crisp and her husband, Joshua and Michael Sheehan and his wife, Pam, all of Texas; great-aunt of Carolan Grace Jamen and is also survived by many beloved friends, neighbors, and colleagues from the John Hancock Insurance Co. where she was employed for 50 years.

Her funeral will be held from the Maurice W. Kirby Funeral Home, 210 Winthrop St., Winthrop on Friday. June 26, at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. John the Evangelist Church-Winthrop, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will be in Winthrop Cemetery. Frank DeMarco

Retired proprietor of Middlesex Manufacturing

Frank L. DeMarco of Seal Harbor Road, Winthrop passed away at the Chelsea Soldier’s Home on June 15. He was 91 years old.

Born in Charlestown, he was the beloved son of the late Jennie (Pingaro) and Frank DeMarco. An Army veteran of World War II, he resided in East Boston before moving to Winthrop over 60 years ago. He was the proprietor of Middlesex Manufacturing for many years prior to his retirement.

He was the devoted husband of Jacquelyn (Miller) and the loving father of Frank DeMarco and his wife, Rose of Winthrop, Michael DeMarco and his wife, Michelle of Delray Beach, Florida and Amy DeMarco of Medford; the cherished grandfather of Julie, Robert, Andrew, Michelle and the late Michael. He is also survived by six great grandchildren. Funeral arrangements were by the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, Winthrop. Interment was in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Chelsea Soldier’s Home 91 Crest Ave., Chelsea MA 02150.

Eileen ‘Bunny’ Coyle

Retired bookkeeper for Woolworth Stores

Eileen “Bunny” (Hayes) Coyle passed away peacefully in Melrose on June 18.

Bunny was a devout Catholic who loved her nieces and nephews as her own. She was a dedicated caretaker to her parents in their later years. A former bookkeeper at Woolworth stores in Boston for 39 years, she rarely missed a day of work. She loved celebrating holidays with her family and spending weekends lakeside in New Hampshire. She will be greatly missed by her family.

She was the beloved daughter of the late Margaret “Eva” (Sheehan) and Edward Hayes and is survived by her siblings: Edward Hayes of Beverly, Henry and wife, Alice “Nonny” Hayes, Lorraine Priddle and her husband, David, all of Winthrop and Carol DiVito of Danvers. She was the devoted aunt of Edward Hayes and Michelle Ryan of New Mexico, Paul Hayes of Middleton, Judy Hayes of Salem, Henry Hayes of Winthrop, William Hayes and his wife, Kim of Winthrop, John Hayes and his wife, Stephanie of Winthrop, David Priddle and his wife, Carole of Pepperell, Debbie Stewart and her husband, Philip of Beverly, Darlene Ferreira and her husband, Mark of Winthrop, Michael DiVito and his wife, Heather of Plaistow, NH and Paul DiVito and Karen DiVito of Danvers; great aunt of Jennifer, Kristen, Ryan, Jennifer, Jeanine, Henry, Joseph, William, Grace and Jack Hayes, David, Bert and Carl Priddle, Ashley and Amy DiVito and three great, great nieces and nephews. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Ernest P. Caggiano and Son-O’Maley Funeral Home, Winthrop. A Funeral Mass in St. John the Evangelist Church was followed by interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
