Janet Rossetti, born in Cambridge, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 at the Massachusetts General Hospital on July 25, 2026.She was the cherished daughter of the late Mabel (Towlson) and Albert Rossetti.
Janet dedicated much of her life to her career in finance, leaving a lasting mark at various esteemed institutions such as First Albany Corp, Mellon Bank, Solomon Smith Barney, Paine Webber, JP Morgan, and the Sheraton Corporation. Her dedication and professionalism were evident in all her endeavors.
Beyond her career, Janet was deeply committed to her community, assisting with children’s religious education at St. John’s Church and providing compassionate service in elder housing food programs.
Janet had a passion for life that illuminated every moment. She loved fishing, tending to her garden, painting beautiful creations, and mastering the art of cooking. Her creativity and warmth touched the hearts of all who knew her.
She was the devoted companion of Richard F. Barry and the sister of Karen Ball and the late Albert Rossetti and is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Saturday, August 1, 2026 from 10 a.m, to 12 p.m.followed by a service in the funeral home at 12 noon.
