William Greeley, Jr.

Former Treasurer of Pleasant Park Yacht Club

William Greeley, Jr., of Winthrop, passed away at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston on June 26, 2026. He was 82 years old.

Born in Chelsea, he was the beloved son of the late Stella (Penchikowski) and William Greeley Sr. Throughout his career, William made his mark in marketing with a focus on fundraising. He also served his community through his work with the United States Postal Service.

William was an active member of his community and a former treasurer of the Pleasant Park Yacht Club. He carried a lifelong love of sports, especially following the Boston Celtics, and he enjoyed fishing as a relaxing pastime. Above all, William cherished time spent with his family, valuing the moments shared and the memories created together.

He was the devoted husband of Beverly A. (Niederer) and the loving father of Elizabeth A. Greeley and Kristina Greeley Giangregorio, both of Winthrop; dear brother of Bobby Greeley of Chelsea, Sarah Porter of Pennsylvania and the late Diane Campbell and Leanne Greeley; cherished grandfather of AJ, Gabriella, Frederick and Jake and great grandfather of Anthony, Vincent and Howard.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Saturday, July 11, 2026 from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a funeral mass in St. John the Evangelist Church, 320 Winthrop St., Winthrop at 11:30 a.m. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.
