Senate Race

There are three weeks remaining in the State Senate campaign before the primary election and the candidates for the Democratic nomination have been picking up the beat. In Winthrop, attorney Joseph Boncore has been getting a great response. Candidate Diana Hwang hosted a corned beef dinner catered by the Meat Market Tuesday night at the Cottage Park Yacht Club.

The other candidates, Jay Livingstone, Dan Rizzo, Steve Morabito, Lydia Edwards, and Paul Rogers are also working hard, leading up to an exciting Primary Day set for April 12.

The most sought-after endorsement in the race is that of our Speaker, Robert A. DeLeo, whose popularity in Winthrop, Revere, and across the district (and state, for that matter) is at an all-time high because of his productive record and the great achievements he has brought about as the top Democratic leader in Massachusetts.

Whether Bob will endorse anyone remains to be seen, but it is fair to say that all of the candidates are individuals of great accomplishment, all of whom would make an outstanding State Senator from our district.
