Easter Egg Hunt Sunday

One of our favorite local events of the year will take place this Saturday with the annual Winthrop Parks and Recreation Character and Easter Egg Hunt. The festivities will begin at 8:30 a,m. at the Fort Banks School.

Parks and Recreation Director Sean Driscoll has planned another fabulous breakfast with games, music, face-painting, and fun with popular costumed characters that will be as entertaining for parents as it will be for the youngsters.

And speaking of the Parks and Recreation Department, congratulations to coaches Bill Forsyth, Dean Galurus, and Angelo Marcoccio for leading the girls’ basketball sixth grade team to the North Shore League championship. The future looks very good for girls basketball in the town.
