Much Brewing on the Political Scene: Kerry’s Departure Will Create a Scramble for His Senate Seat.

With the expected confirmation of U.S. Sen. John Kerry as Secretary of State, there is a lot happening on the political scene in terms of who will seek the Senate seat. Our congressman, Rep. Edward J. Markey, has already indicated that he intends to run for the Senate. There will likely be other candidates and it expected that outgoing Republican Senator Scott Brown will mount a bid in an effort to return to the Senate.

And should Markey emerge victorious, there would be a future election for his Congressional seat.

Needless to say, the political scene will be reheating in 2013 after an exciting Presidential and U.S. Senate election just two months ago.
