Winthrop’s 142nd Horrible’s Parade will be held on Thursday, July 4, 2024, at 9 am. If you are interested in volunteering the day of the parade with The Horribles Parade Committee, email Wendy Millar-Page at serelunaproductions@gmail.com We’d love the help! The parade kicks off at 9 am from the public landing, 770 Shirley Street, and ends with free festivities, a DJ, leg races, a blueberry pie eating contest, and awards for parade winners at Coughlin Park. What category will you be entering this year? Best Float, (please park on the right-hand side outside of the landing on Shirley Street,) Most Hilarious, Most Horrible, Most Patriotic, Most Original, or Most Beautiful? Let’s celebrate the 142nd Anniversary of one of Winthrop’s most treasured hometown traditions and our Independence Day together!
The Horribles Parade committee is Seeking prize donations!! DONATE a prize to The Horrible’s Parade Committee for the annual Prize-O-Rama. The Prize-O-Rama is June 28th @ 7 PM at the PSA Hall. Sen. Lydia Edwards to Host Coffee Hour in Winthrop June 25
Senator Lydia Edwards will host a Coffee Hour, open to the public, Tuesday, June 25, from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at the Robert DeLeo Senior Center, located at 35 Harvard St. Winthrop, MA 02152.
Feel free to swing by for a casual chat, discuss your ideas, and enjoy a cup of coffee alongside the Senator.
