Max Tassinari Announces Candidacy for Town Council

Max Tassinari has announced his intention to seek election to the Winthrop Town Council. The following is his announcement:

“My name is Max Tassinari. I grew up in East Boston and have many great memories in Winthrop. Getting bread at Twin Bakery with my grandfather when my aunt couldn’t get good bread in Peabody; and the July 4th fireworks display that ended when the whole island caught fire; just to name a few. My wife and I moved to Winthrop with our son just over two years ago. Here, in Winthrop, we welcomed our baby girl a few months after we arrived. Among many close friends and former neighbors; Winthrop is where I call home.

Putting down roots in Winthrop, I seek to help the town thrive and grow, while preserving the sense of community that makes it such a great place. We face numerous challenges. We must find ways to invest additional funds into our schools, into the condition of our infrastructure, make our streets safer and so many other needs. The best way I know how to contribute my finance, accounting, and budgetary experience is to serve on the town council.  I’ve built my career over 15 years working at private enterprises and public institutions after earning an MBA at Bentley University and I believe in a sustainable municipal government that works for all our neighbors.

With that, I am announcing my campaign for the at-large seat on the Winthrop Town Council.

If we haven’t met, I hope to meet you soon and ask for your support. I hope you’ll find that while we may not agree on every issue, I’m dedicated to honesty, compassion, and listening to the stories, opinions, and even grievances of friends and neighbors, to shape a better tomorrow for each of us.

As a dad to two young children, I’m invested in this town and its future. In order to have a well rooted future, I believe in planting the trees today to shade and support the next generations.”
