WHS Class of 1968 To Hold 55th Class Reunion

Special to the Transcript

The Class of 1968 Reunion Committee is in the midst of planning the 55th reunion for their class. The reunion will be held the weekend of Sept. 29-Oct. 1, with most activities to take place in Winthrop.

The Reunion Committee is anxious to reach as many classmates as possible. If you graduated from Winthrop High School in 1968 or know someone who did, please have them contact the committee either through the Facebook page: Winthrop (MA) Senior High School Class of 1968 or the alumni website: https://whs1968reunion.weebly.com/. Or please email: winthrophigh68@gmail.com for more information.

Plans are being made for a Friday night welcome dinner/get together at the Elks Club. Saturday daytime activities include the ever–popular scavenger hunt and a memorial for deceased classmates at the beach. The Saturday evening dinner dance will be at the Cottage Park Yacht Club. Sunday brunch will take place at the Hilton Garden Inn, East Boston. All activities are geared to rekindle old friendships (and maybe make new ones!), reminisce and laugh – something we do best.

We hope our classmates will start making their travel plans now! We have details on hotel blocks and the reunion on our Facebook page and on our website. Contact winthrophigh68@gmail.com for more information.
