Rose M. Brown

One Hundred Three Years Young

Rose M. (Swartz) Brown of Revere, formerly of Winthrop and raised in Dorchester, entered into eternal rest on December 1 at 103 years of age.

She was the devoted wife of the late Edmund J. Brown, beloved mother of Eileen and Edward Wickham and Andrea and Nate Lincoff; cherished grandmother of Jared and Lena Wickham  and Matthew and Taylor Lincoff; proud great grandmother of Eli Wickham and Cade Lincoff; dear sister of the late Max Swartz, sister-in-law of the late Shepard Brown and great grandmother of the late Landon Lincoff.

Mark Emery

His Youthful Spirit and Gentle Nature Will Be Greatly Missed

Mark Emery passed away on December 1 at the age of 58 at Massachusetts General Hospital. Mark was raised in Revere and was a longtime resident of Winthrop.

Mark was a simple man who enjoyed the small things in life. He was an avid hockey fan, lifelong fisherman and would never pass up a camping trip. Mark, who is survived by his daughter, Leigha, was a devoted and loving father who always went the extra mile. His youthful spirit and gentle nature will be greatly missed.

Family and friends are cordially invited to attend the visitation from the Caggiano-O’Maley-Frazier Funeral Home, Winthrop on Friday, December 9 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 12 Noon. Services will conclude with the interment in the Belle Isle section of Winthrop Cemetery.

Richard William Nastari

Former Winthrop Auxiliary Police Lieutenant

Richard William Nastari of Winthrop, formerly of Revere and East Boston, passed away on December 6.

Richard was a former LT. of Winthrop Auxiliary Police. He was a retired ADS of the Suffolk House of Corrections and also a retired chief engineer of the Logan Hilton Hotel. He will be missed by many.

The beloved husband for 25 years of Gloria (Mower) Nastari, he was the devoted father of Douglas Boudrow, dear brother of Lisa Ruscio and the late Jim of New Hampshire and Doreen Nastari of Belmont and cherished uncle of Steven Ruscio.

Family and friends will honor Richard’s life by gathering at the Ruggiero Family Memorial Home, 971 Saratoga Street, Orient Heights, East Boston on Friday, December 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. A prayer service will take place in our serenity chapel at 11 a.m. Services will conclude with Richard being laid to rest in Winthrop Cemetery, Belle Isle Section.  To leave an online condolence visit www.ruggieromh.com.
