Martucci Awarded Humanitarian Award at Boston Children’s Hospital Event

Mia Martucci of Winthrop who has been raising money for Boston Children’s Hospital (BCH) for 11 years was the 2022 recipient of the Corey C. Griffin Humanitarian Award at Boston Children’s Hospital Champions for Children event at the Omni Boston Hotel.  Mia started her fundraising journey at age eight and has now raised just under $50,000.00 and donated over 500 bags of toys. She has done her lemonade stand and toy drive to help many children at BCH. She is now a freshman at Merrimack college and is going to continue her fundraising endeavors with “Mia’s Lemonade Stand” at school through the Honors Student Council which she is a part of. Mia would like to thank the Winthrop community and businesses , family and friends near and far who have always supported her, to the staff at BCH Tara, Erin, Emily, Nikki, The staff who ran Champions for Children event including Danielle and many others who have been there guiding her. And she would like to send a special thanks to the Griffin Family for choosing her as the 2022 recipient
