Winthrop’s Rizzotto Participates in National Leadership Academy

Special to the Transcript

The Winthrop Police is proud to announce that Winthrop Police Cadet (Explorer) Adrianna Rizzotto was one of only 32 youths selected to participate in the Public Safety Cadet National Leadership Academy from July 24 to July 30 at Fort Leonard, Missouri.

The Academy consisted of interactive workshops, dynamic lectures, high intensity exposure to U.S. Army Military Police training and operations, and physical fitness.  Lessons taught throughout the week provided context to critical leadership evaluation processes for training and law enforcement operations addressing successes and failures of leadership in law enforcement.  Adrianna was given the academy leadership award by her peers.

“We are very proud of Adrianna” stated Lieutenant Steve Rogers. “she is following a long line of Winthrop Police Explorers who have attended national leadership academies and have gone onto successful careers many in law enforcement.”
